We will see, but I thought that Cannan's fall from grace was going to come back and bite the Rockets. When he had a shot at playing he flashed a lot of potential. That last time he went 0-5, but that was the exception instead of the rule. We desperately need a PG and what does Morey do? He may have "given" away the best one we had. Glad for Cannan, disappointed for us.
Morey should have more control in player minutes. If McHale doesn't like that, then Morey needs to replace him with a puppet coach.
...meanwhile, Westbrook singlehandedly beats the 76ers with what is probably the best line of the season while playing with a broken face. Why McHale no play Canaan?
anyone with a brain could see Canaan had tons of potential you can't become a good player when you sit on the bench except for 5 minutes every 5 games.
I didn't like trading him and replacing him with PP, but while he had a great offensive game, let's not forget his opponent outscored him by 18, had 9 more rebounds and 4 more assists. But no way PP has a game like this as a Rocket.
1. I never said he was a great defender. I said he would put up big offensive numbers. 2. Watch the game. Ish Smith had the defensive assignment on Westbrook.:grin:
All I know is we sure could've used that 31/6/3 last night when Brewer/Bev/Prigionai went a combined 8 for 26.
The inevitable finally happened. Not surprised at all. Canaan's jumpshot is a thing of beauty when he gets it going. He won't play like this all the time, but I thought he showed enough against Steph Curry and Chris Paul to deserve a spot in the rotation. The coach felt otherwise. He'll score points if given the green light, that's for sure. Seems to have that in Philly. Not really a PG, but Harden is the PG anyways.
Can't lie. I give you props. I can't say I expect him to engulf in flames like tonight on a consistent basis, but the potential is there.
We didn't realize how good Lowry and Dragic are when we had them. Lin is starting to play well. Now Canaan blows up. See the pattern?
