If we don't spend 5 million MLE, and we talk about buyout, some people are going to say we are cheap.
At this age and time picking up Tyson Chandler just seems redundant. I am more concerned as to when Ariza can be bought out so he can help show the new wings how we do things here.
I’m not saying he’s great, but sadly we really really needed him. When Capela bumped his knee near the end of the game, made me wonder how totally screwed we’d be if we lost him for a few months. Like, bottom of the conference for sure. Nene is broken and IH is nowhere near ready to handle a load.
Surprised he didn't want to go to Golden State. Could easily be the starter, there. Imagine the defense of a Durant / Green / Chandler frontcourt.
Suns bought out the wrong guy. Tyson is not the problem. SMH. They should buy out Ariza. Free the bird, Phoenix.
Tyson Chandler gets to go home and play with LeBron. I’m not overly upset the Rockets missed out on him. FWIW I would be very surprised if Ariza was bought out, but if he was, I would be surprised if he choose the Rockets over the Lakers.
I thought he was gonna sign with us. Since nene has been hurt we can only play Chriss and Hartestein Chandler would be welcome here. What do your ears hear mr @Codman We would prob need to cut someone first or wave them I’m looking at you MCW or chriss
Rockets have been waiting for Chandler to be bought out for years. No surprise Suns oblige Lebron and finally buy him out so he can go to the Lakers. The NBA does not want the Rockets to succeed. #NeverForget.
I agree that I don’t think he will be bought out. However, I’m not sure he would be able to find a better place than Houston. Pretty sure D’antoni would let him slide in as a starter immediately. Assuming we’d had pulled our s**t together
According to sources the buyout had been agreed upon for some time. The reason for the wait was for Tyson to figure out where he wants to go. Once he decided it was L.A. then the buyout was executed. EDIT: By sources, I mean reports
The Rockets will be fine, they could easily be 5-3 or 6-2 without key injuries/suspensions. Ariza wants to be close to his home and family, which is in LA. He also has expressed a desire to play with LeBron James. Sometimes things run their course.... and that was Ariza.
I disagree. Rockets are far from fine. The players aren’t meshing well and while we have had some injuries, good teams can keep winning with them, like us last year. If our injuries have told me anything it’s that we are extremely vulnerable. I hope you’re right but right now I’m pretty concerned. You could also be right about Ariza. It’s just a matter of how much he values playing and where the Lakers are if the hypothetical ever happened. Do they like what they see from Kuzma and Ingram? Do they think they’re in contention and will they let go of a young player or two for Jimmy come December? Who knows. So much can change in a month or two.
