Spurs appear to be rolling but Tim Duncan is averaging less than 10 points per game for the first time in his career. Has age finally caught up with the great Timmy D? If this is his last season I think he's handling it far more better than Kobe. Discuss.
He is 39 years old playing 26 minutes per game while averaging 8 rebounds. Uh, that's pretty damn good.
He's still good. He will still do the fundamentals to helps the Spurs win. Slowly LMA will take that role over tho.
SA's increased offensive options (LMA + Leanard's improvements) have made his scoring less necessary.
Just check the advanced stats on him especially on defense, you can actually build a case for a DPOY candidacy out of it. Please be enlightened and stop being a vanilla fan that just only looking for raw (and mostly empty) stats number out there.
Ive been a Duncan fan since day 1. One of my favorite non Rockets ever. He's one of the greatest teammates ever.
No, only Spurs fans can You mean like how Spurs fans forever used raw (and most empty) stats to suggest David Robinson was better than Hakeem.
Bait me any way you want, i don't care, for me The Dream is always the better player overall over The Admiral, but The Big Fundamental trumps them all.
He is leading the league in DRPM. His defensive impact per minutes is better than anyone in the league lol.
Do you like that stat? Try sorting Duncan's career based on that stat, and tell me how much you believe it accurately reflects Duncan's best defensive years. It's a very flawed stat.
Look at his minutes and FGA. Of course he is in decline, but not even close to being done. He is still the inside anchor of the best defense in the league and rebounds pretty well ( like always per 36) . The spurs already shifted his offense to LA, wich makes sense since he is much younger and have more tools now to score.
He's just biding his time until the playoffs. Why exert himself more than he has to at this point of his career?
