Why don't you sell your quick release jump shot and then package those $$$ to buy some chicks and then sell those chicks to buy a Tesla?

    Nice reference.

I was going to say look at buying a used Tesla, but apparently they depreciate much more slowly (if at all at this point) than the average car. In other words, you might as well buy the 2015 model if you want a Tesla. All of that said, buying a new car is a huge financial drain and an unwise investment.

If you can afford the payments from your day job salary, why don't you take as much money as you can from your day job, as well as all the uber money to pay it off quicker?

Then also consider that if your putting a lot of cash towards your car, that cars depreciate a ton and are a bad investment with a large some of your earnings.

    Sell your car
Buy a cheap car that's gets good gas milage
Work uber as much as you can
    Work day job
    Save up $$$$
Invest in things that will go up in value

Then when you have a **** load of money you can just buy whatever car u want straight cash.

I think buying an extremely expensive car, and then putting a crap-ton of miles on it really really quickly is an EXCELLENT plan!

Oh, and it's even better if the really expensive car is of questionable reliability as well.

    Go for it!

Your friends brother is being less than truthful with you. Uber drivers are not making $500-$1000 on a weekend, indeed many of them are making less than minimum wage.

just don't rate the passengers while you're logged onto CF. at least wait till they've arrived to their destination.

But, my second cousin's best friend's daughter heard form a guy that his uncle's jail cell inmate used to know a guy that claimed his boss made $450 one weekend.

I'd get a cheaper electric car with that plan unless the Telsa is 60% status symbol/ 40% stackin paper.

In other words, doesn't sound like you'll be making much money if you stick with the Telsa. Uber can be hit or miss, I rarely do it, but I was lame this halloween and did it. I live in Austin, so you know where the market is, and I made ~$775 from 5pm- 3am that night. On a regular Saturday night, I've made between 100-200 for ~4 hours of work. From my experience and talking to other folks who have done Uber in multiple cities, cities without a very centralized night life/entertainment area are harder to make bread in.

Same plan, but get a prius and a downpayment on a house.

    Chicks like houses
