This literally might be my best plan ever. 1. Sell my pickup 2. Use that money as a down payment for a brand new Tesla 3. Become an Uber driver on the weekends to pay off my brand new Tesla 4. Ball out on the weekdays in my brand new Tesla Contingency plan if I can't make payments: 1. I work full-time and can make payments regardless Pros: 1. I don't have to pay for gas 2. My apartment complex offers free vehicle charging Cons: 1. I love my truck 2. So do chicks I'd offer free basketball advice to all of my passengers
Didn't you just buy that truck a couple months ago after selling your brand new WRX? http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=268011
So, if you clear and net $100 a night as a Uber driver, it would take you 750 nights to pay off the cheapest Tesla. Assuming you can put $25,000 down, then it will take at least 500 nights. That's 250 weekends. That's 5 years of weekends wasted paying off a Tesla. Clearly far from the best plan ever.
Incorrect! My friend's brother averages anyway from 500-1000 a weekend. Obviously that depends on how long he works, but that ain't bad for driving around in a Tesla!
So, this is just a cleverly disguised "I'm thinking of buying a Tesla (but probably won't, I just want attention)" thread?
The best plan you ever had was posting your video of the "quick release" FT. I still get a good laugh just thinking about it.
OK....so every Uber driver averages $500-$1000 salary for driving 10-20 hours over a weekend? Doubt it. Do some googling. It is rare to find anyone making anywhere near that much for a day or two of driving.
I assume it would be considered the higher fee UberSelect as opposed to UberX. That being said, if you're some college kid looking to get to your dorm from a bar, do you want to spend the money to ride in a Tesla or would a Corolla accomplish the same task?
