Despite today's lost, I still think Miami is on pace to become the most dominant team in playoff history. I've never seen any team that plays such tenacious defense and the way they break the opponent's will when they tried make a run is unbelievable to watch (Sixers, Celtics, Bulls...etc). I don't remember the Bulls team or the Lakers for that matter were as dominant during their championship years. Miami is just steam rolling right now (today is the exception) and Lebron has been on a tear with his 3 point shot. They are soo good that they only need 2 of their 3 superstar to be on and they will automatically win. Shaq/Kobe and Jordan/Pippen does not have that important 3rd superstar.

My question for you guys. Where do you rank the Heat as far as the most dominant in playoff history? I'm talking about dominant in both defense and offense. Bulls was more defense and the Lakers was more offense. I think T_mac1, Sactown and Ocatavianus will agree with me that when the Heat win the championship they will be on top of the list as the most dominant force we have seen in a while.

Heat in 5 or 6 against the Mavs(I hate Dirk so much).. If Heat wins the next game it will be in 5, otherwise I'm sure it will be in 6.

Didn't one of the Lakers teams (with Shaq on it) lose only 1 game on its road to a title?

No, the 2001 Lakers were def. the most dominant team. They would have run the table but they had too much rest (like two weeks) before the Finals and still only lost game #1 in OT. They beat the Spurs (best record in NBA) four straight by like 20-30 points each.

The '86 Celtics were pretty dominant too but that was a different era.

Lakers of 2000-2001. I would say last year's Lakers and the Celtics of 2 years ago would beat Miami in a 7 game series.

2000-2001 Lakers would absolutely dominate Miami. I would say 2007 Spurs would win too.

I was actually typing this when they were up by 15pts. Instead of backing off and being a chicken s**t after the blown lead, I decided to follow through. THey only lost 4 freakin game throughout this playoff over some tough teams which is pretty amazing. Not like they don't deserve this thread.

All I have to say is Chris Bosh is the most overpaid player in the league.

Miami should have taken that 17 million and gotten two to three very good players for the amount of money they are paying him.

I think the NBA began for some in lebrons rookie year.

That lakers team were so more dominant it's silly. Plus they did it without the carry on

Of the FAs out there...Boozer. Stoudamire's knees aren't going to make it through his contract.
