Along those same lines, is there another Texans forum besides HoustonProFootball? That forum over there isn't that active.
my site www.gostros.com is in the very early stages as a Houston Astros fansite, but hopefully before first pitch 2004 I'll have a complete Astros Fansite... and who knows after 6+ years or whatever it is, it can be the clutchfans.net for Astros fans.
They'll eat him alive. edc...wait until spring training starts, there's just not much to talk about until then.
Stay away from the mlb Astros site. Well, unless you like arguing with 12 y/o kids from the cubs all day. Astrosdaily is a great site, but the message board version is crap.
I've been looking, and CF.net is the best... Baseball, football, basketball... whatever. this is, without a doubt, my favorite site EVER.
After reading some of the posts over at the Astros fan forum and in the Cubs fan forum, all I have to say is the image these Cubs fans give off as to what type of fans they are is one of a bunch of roaming, blathering idiots. For all you "good" Cub fans out there, I can't make you out from the mob mentality of the others. All I can gather is these Cub fans feel they have it all wrapped up at this stage and a pitch hasn't even been thrown yet. I hope your presumptious arrogance blows up in your face while our cautious optimism prevails. I will say that, based on all of those lame posts I have read, that I feel the Astros fans are far more deserving. They might as well shut down the Astros forum due to Cub fan trolls taking it over and spewing garbage. Is there anywhere they do not show up and talk smack out of their arses? Unreal.
The way the mlb boards are setup, filtering out the trolls is almost impossible. Now if the mlb boards were using VBB or Inversion software I feel there would be better control over the troll attacks.
I used to read the those boards until I found this one and that's how the Cub fans have always been. At this time last year, two, three years ago it was in the bag. It wasn't just optimism or hope, it was a fact. You should see what they do to the Cardinals' board. It's scary. You have to look hard but you can find some knowledgeable fans of other teams to talk Baseball on the MLB boards.
They layout of those Orangewhoopass forums look pretty amaturish to me. Granted, not nearly as bad as the MLB boards. Just god awful ugly.
Agree, I could never make heads or tails out of it. Seems unorganized to me. There used to be one board that was excellent. Not sure what happened (I think whoever ran it just shut it down) and it seems half of the people that used to post on it either went to the Astros Daily Forum or this board: http://pub60.ezboard.com/bevilwontwin
