You are arguing two different things. You are saying the popular vote doesn't matter when it comes from California. Now you're arguing about the votes not counting because of the electoral results. Like I mentioned it doesn't matter in regards to the electoral vote. But if you're talking about the popular vote, then you are wrong to discount some votes because they come from California. In the popular vote count every single vote counts the same no matter what state they come from. A candidate who wins the popular vote wins it because more people in the country chose that person. If 60% of those votes come from California, it doesn't matter. They are still Americans who exercised their right to vote.
This Left/Right finger pointing isn't helping anything. Trump is on all of us. We got what we deserve. Hopefully we can survive it.
No lies from anyone other than you, bigot. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php...ough-black-cabinet-picks.236122/#post-7781914
THe argument is one and the same. Hillary Clinton REALLY ran the vote total up in California and it tipped the overall popular vote in her favor, it's the reason why the US doesn't value the overall popular vote, they don't want one state determining the outcome of elections. When someone cites that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, all they are really saying is that she ran the vote count up in one very populous state. It's irrelevant to the election and it isn't representative of what happened in the rest of the country. Being super popular in California is great and all, but is that really a silver lining to getting your ass handed to you pretty much everywhere else including deeply blue states?
Did you think you actually proved something by linking to this post? Barack is bi-racial, and culturally spent most of his upbringing around non-blacks. All facts, yet still more insults from you. I'll be the bigger man and not stoop to your level.
Your last several posts have come across as considerably unhinged.....and you are being an example of what the OP was about. When you post like that, you aren't making anyone else look as bad as you are making yourself (and by extension any political narrative you are trying to push) look bad. Keep in mind, I'm not saying anything about the validity of what you are saying, I'm just pointing out how you are coming across. Everything you are saying could be 100% accurate and you'd still come across poorly.
In a genuinely integrated society blacks would spend most of their time around non-blacks, and wouldn't be labeled as phonies for doing so you racist ****ing jerk.
If standing up for freedoms of women, minorities, and the interests of the masses is driving a group of voters to Trump, then the problem is that group of voters, not anyone else.
You realize that people like bigotexxx and bobbythenotsogreat are only here to spew their anger out and antagonize people who will bite on their nonsense... Do fall for their traps.
I never labeled him a "phony". Those were your words, not mine. I know you hate it that Trump has implemented some very positive things for America, but try to be more mature and not resort to lying, insulting and cussing. TIA
You said he wasn't actually black, which implies he was pretending to be something he wasn't. Don't be a coward and start parsing your bullshit racism.
Outside of kicking out some immigrants, installing a judge, and a symbolic missile attack of an airport to boost his approval rating - what exactly has he accomplished again in 100 days? Oh, he's galvanized every sane American against him.
The fact is that it's the left who has been moving further to left than right moving to the far right. The left went from talking about ways to keep the borders safe to building ****ing bridges.
No, what they are saying when they say that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote is that more Americans voted for her than voted for Trump. They are correct to think that way, and say that way. Californians are Americans too.
Im not sure why people are even still talking about the popular vote. Its a cute little water cooler conversation the day after the election, or even a week after. But 6 months later? The popular vote relevance is on par with basing voter count based on peoples favorite color. This country has never used the popular vote in the Presidential election and never will. A President doesnt win an election on a consolation prize like the popular vote count.
If we're honest, when they bring it up, it's meant as a silver lining to getting their asses kicked in an election. It's not bad as far as spin goes, but when you lose super blue states to someone like Donald F'n Trump.....well being happy about enough Californians voting for Hillary to sway the national popular election to her side is kind of odd. Also, when you say that "Californians are Americans too", you are correct, but clearly in this last election Californians were out of touch with the rest of the country.
