i agree. what would be the other version of this color scheme (the home version) since i would assume that what they are sporting is the road version one.
Take these, make the green a strong deep red. Change Boston to Houston. For home, outline the gold with red. Bam. Simple. Timeless..classic. If not, just remake these with small updates: I don't think the Championship era would work with a big logo on the shorts and the ROCKets on the away shorts. It looked good when players wore short shorts, but not now with the baggy look. That's my opinion...
I love the alternatives and would love it if they became our regulars. Only thing I would really like to change is make the numbers white instead of yellow. Maybe change the font of HOUSTON, but that's nit-picking. I also really like the design someone made in that other thread previously (different take on our current unis). Those are damn good as well.
These Jerseys are f'ing perfect. Why change what works? You don't see the celts and lakers deviating too much from what they had.
Also bump on this. Any word on what's going on with the string of games using the alternate unis? I personally think they look a lot better than the default, and it's been a long time. Have we officially decided to split time with the two from now on? Hoping it becomes our default for the year.
My best guess is the alternate is a lot more comfortable (see 2pat rolling up sleeves), and so the players have been choosing to use it on the road every time.
these jerseys are 100x better than our away uni's. hope this losing streak isnt gonna make us go back
Bro it's been ketchup and mustard since the 1972-1973 season know your history. Read Below: Upon moving to Houston in 1971, the Rockets replaced green with red. They kept the same design from their San Diego days, save for the change of color and city name. The logo used is of a player with a spinning basketball launching upward, with boosters on his back, leaving a trail of red and gold flames and the words "Houston Rockets" below it. For the 1972–73 season, the Rockets introduced the famous "mustard and ketchup" logo, so dubbed by fans, featuring a gold basketball surrounded by two red trails, with "Houston" atop the first red trail and "Rockets" (all capitalized save for the lowercase 'E' and 'T') in black surrounding the basketball.
