Read this article *very* carefully and tell me it doesn’t SCREAM "Star Wars 7!"

The article is dated last May. We know this Disney/Lucasfilm deal didn't happen overnight. We know Lucas met with Hamill and Fisher in July and told them about episodes 7-9. We know Disney included a firm, confident 2015 release date with the announcement. That’s 31 months away – if they don't already have a creative team in place, then they are behind schedule. There is NO WAY they’re going to bum-rush a property THIS important into production without some absolutes.

The only thing I can't figure out is what "1952" is wink-wink, nudge-nudging... Lucas was born in 1944. You could make a leap that 5+2 = 7, ie 197, ie 1977 but it seems like a stretch.

Still, I would bet top dollar this is IT. Thoughts?

Here are the important pull quotes, for those that don’t want to read the article:

I read an article saying that Lucas and a team of writers began working on 7-9 a few years ago. All Disney has to do now is find a director and do some casting, then they'll be ready to start filming.

Apparently....Star Wars was originally intended to be a 12 part series believe it or not.

This isn't something that just happened out of the blue. This deal with Disney has definitely been in the works for years now.

Yeah, you don't make $4 billion dollar deals overnight. Just surprised they were able to keep something that huge under wraps for so long (that's what she said).

Lucas owns Lucasfilm. So basically he is the only guy that needs to say ok. No shareholders to worry about.
