losing to a team without Durant is something that haunts rockets...time and time again!

Probably not. He’s yet to win a championship and it doesn’t look like that will change with this group.

I see, you get to call it both ways
    1) If Rockets are successful, it's the talent carrying the coach
    2) If NOT successful, it's the Coach

    You're phrasing is a LOSE/LOSE situation.
    No WONDER you're always mad.

Would you say that Duncan, Parker and Ginobli carried Popovich?
He hasn't won a ring since Duncan retired.
    Same rules apply, right?
Shouldn't SA dismiss him? What a loser

Where have Mavs been in last 6 seasons?

Guess Carlisle is not even a playoff coach anymore, timeouts be damned.

Well, Carlisle has at least won a championship with middle aged Dirk and shooters, and a very very old Jason Kidd, Corey Brewer.

MDA's best team, the 2018 edition got "Foster Brothered" in the real NBA Finals. No amount of game planning, strategizing or pep talk can overcome the league directive.

MDA has proven he can be a good coach when he has the right pieces, and the difference between him being a champion and not has been extremely close, most profoundly two years ago when we had one of our best teams ever and lost game 7 of the WCF to one of the best ever teams in NBA history. But to me that means coaching is sometimes overrated. Absolutely good coaching improves a team; gives them a better chance to win a championship. But if you don't have the pieces it's very hard to overcome deficits in personnel with just coaching. Is Doc Rivers a better coach than MDA? Probably, and he has a ring. Is MDA a good enough coach to win a championship with a really good team? Probably. But MDA has shown a weakness on the defensive side of the ball and i think combined with deficit of length and good defensive personnel, MDA is gonna struggle to lead this team to the promise-land. I think most coaches would though.

Literally everything would have to go well for an MDA-coached team to win a title.

He would have to face other head coaches who are equally incompetent or worse, hope the other team is less talented, and has injury issues, and pray that his stars don't go ice cold from three ever.

Need to cut and paste this response for every knee jerk MDA attack because Rockets either lost a game or did not dominate more in a win.
