Please tell me what I saw in the first part of the clip is some amazing video trickery...

I watched LeBron reveal his decision but I didn't watch anything else.

That is just pathetic if real. These clowns are jacking up the league and sending a horrible message to kids as well as the next generation of players.

I'm sure a lot of people will disagree but there has to be some level of humility even for pro athletes. Can you see anybody doing this in baseball or hockey or any other sport?

They got their shock value but at what cost???

Honestly, Miami becoming the villain is a fantastic storyline for the league. We get to see villain (miami) vs villain (lakers). Now who are the good guys? I'd say probably the Magic.

Or the Rockets of course, if we get that far in the playoffs

 

I can't help laughing at the Miami Heat / nWo comparison. It's spot on to me. Those videos are hilarious. Actually makes me more intrigued with Miami next season. ;-)

The Rockets can be DX.

 

First, awesome videos.

Second, you know what? I'm not worried about the Miami Heat right now and I don't think they'll be any good for a few years, once the prime years of the (hopefully) Rockets and (realistically) Lakers are drawing to a close... but a very very small part of me is actually wondering: what if this team is actually, well, too good? What if somehow they gel in a way that none of us thought possible and just blow people out night after night all the way to the championship? What if the final images of the season are Yao's head down and the three butt-buddies chortling and lifting the trophy over their heads in a 4-0 sweep? Or of Kobe, biting his lip in rage, the announcers stunned at the Lakers being demolished? Or of another franchise with one or two stars only, with people viewed as the last hope of putting these three douches in their place and showing them basketball is making your team a part of your hands and feet and running it like stars instead of taking the easy route to wins being hopelessly crushed?

I don't want that to happen to the sport I love and I don't think it will happen. I have too much faith in the basketball I know and love, of chemistry, of intangibles, of a sport that is more than just stars and talent but of hard work and climbing hills. But a small voice in me does wonder, and fears what might become of the sport if something like that was to come to pass.

well, I wouldn't be surprised if Lebron or wade got a seat from courtside and knocked down yao, only for the refs to miss it because they were busy arguing with pat riley. This already happens to a lesser extent.
