    Not even close.

But why keep a contract that has negative value for a roster spot that if needed will only hurt the team. I'd rather Adrien be on the court and playing small ball than JD. JD's negative value extends from his contract to his court time. So why keep him? Does Morey really think he's going to be able to pawn him off on someone as filler? If they need filler and it's a trade we are on top of, no GM is going to take JD over others...any others... So again why keep him? The answer is we shouldn't have.

I mean, he needed a back up C... I wouldn't call the signing itself the the root of the problem...more so the cluster **** chronic gambling addiction he took part in this summer. When you screw up that bad, you have to find someone available.

I cant believe that he gave me hope after seeing some European highlights...He is still the same, fouling dunce we last saw in Houston. JD has been bad so far in his second stint with the Rockets.

The moment Okafor states that he is available, the Rockets may just make a move to cut him and sign Emeka. If that doesnt work...I wouldnt be suprised if they to a flyer on 40 year old Camby

Why is Adrien 'small ball' when compared to Dorsey?

One of them is 6'6.5, 240lbs, with a 7'2 wingspan, standing reach of 8'11
The other is 6'7.25, 265lbs, with a 7'1.25 wingspan, standing reach of 8'11

Both have standing verticals of 27' and 31' max vert.

The first guy is a player who has played 4 years of NBA basketball, with a proven reputation as a defender, and had a stint of 28 games with the Bucks last season where he averaged 8 and 8 (a double double as a starter).

The SOLE reason Dorsey is still on the squad is because he has guaranteed money for next season. Black beat Dorsey out for the backup C spot. And so (sadly) Adrien had to go. Motie and Dorsey have real money coming their way next season, and until we can move either of them, Adrien can't make the roster.
We COULD just cut Black and bring in Adrien. I suppose they preferred the backup C over the backup 4/5. Looks (right now) as if it was the wrong move.

He was brought in to be Asik's replacement. He's relegated to third-string now because he sucks so badly.

I wanted to keep Jeff but size aside, Jeff is a small PF while Joey is a small C.

We are going to eother have to eat the contract and have him eat a roster spot for 2 years or we will have to pay to unload him. But there is no win in keeping him and cutting Jeff.

It was 2 a.m., the bar was closing, and dammit Morey was low on options. OK?

    I agree (I think that's what I said!)

Sadly, Black is a better C option than Dorsey, and because Dorsey got guaranteed, he is sticking around for now.

Adrien would be providing 'something' for this team in the short term

Dorsey looks like he can sing and do a Broadway Musical Ballet more so than play basketball.

He would look great in rehearsal, then get up on the stage, forget his lines, and fall over.

I was wrong to think Dorsey might have changed.

Trade Dorsey ASAP...hopefully in the Brewer deal. Hopefully in a 2 for 1 or 3 for 2 that allows us to bring back Adrien.

I will say, I think Capela would be worse in the NBA right now. He doesn't have it..yet.

The man has his eyebrows trimmed and is completely and impeccably clean shaven. I swear it looks like his uses some kind of facial lotion treatment to get his facial and skin glow. He's looks very theatrical but not quite like a basketball player.

Not possible if we're going to use the trade exception.

Actually neither Dorsey or Black are holding down their position. They are making the loads of obvious mistakes that rookies do. Thing is Dorsey isn't a rookie and still makes silly mistakes on almost every play. As for Black he should not be a backup center on a contending team. We need decent backups at the 4 and the 5 or we will be in trouble.
