This whole Lin bashing thing is getting ridiculous give the guy a break lets watch how he performs next season. Be real we are not trading him yet. I think Lin is way better than Skip.:eek::eek::eek::eek:

So you bring up another former Rocket who is no longer in the NBA, to take the place of the Lin bashing..????

    ABSOLUTELY makes sense.

Skip's handles were legendary. Plus dude's arms were ripped as hell.

Yes. Remember how we used to hate Rafer cause he would take those stupid 3's and it would NEVER go in.

Oh joy, another thinly veiled Lin bashing thread.

Geezus! You need to get over your obsession. How old are you? 15?

Go chase girls. You'll eventually learn love is better than hate.

He wasn't that bad at 3s. In 2006-2007, he made 2.3 a game and shot 36.5%. That is pretty good.

I can honestly say that I never 'hated' any Rocket from the past..... except maybe this guy.

But really, it's my favorite TEAM I don't hate any of the players. Only this board is made up of faves and I'd rather not be a part of that.

Rafer was a much better PG than folks on here might think(especially noobs). However he was a much different type of PG than Lin is. Not sure why we have to compare Jeremy Lin to EVERY FREAKING PG that has ever played the game of basketball.

Jeremy Lin somewhere between ok and pretty good. You dont need to keep seeking validation by comparisons folks.

Lin's shooting as inconsistent, but Skip's shooting was nonexistent. Handles are only good if you can do something with it.

Who's better: Matt Maloney in his prime or Jeremy Lin with only 3 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours?

Watching Rafer Altson play basketball is equivalent to a straight guy watching gay p*rn. The whole time you are thinking...Wtf is going on!!!

wtf kind of weird comparison is that. The only thing in common between Rafer Alston and gay p*rn is that they both know how to handle the ball.

Right now? Hell No. Rafer at his prime while not a great consistent offensive weapon was great with the handling of the ball and had good distribution. Lin is a little better in being a offensive player and distributor but he needs to work on controlling the ball better.

I am not going to say he is a turnover machine because he has actually improved his turnover issue compared to his season with the Knicks but he does seem limited in where and how he goes with the ball on drives compared to Alston who could break people knees.

Rafer was a good defender. But yes, Lin is better right now and it's not even close.
