You can cut those odds in half, at least- there is less than a one percent chance of either girl getting raped by an Uber driver.

Even lower than that if you splurge for a luxury sedan (not suv), although then the chance of light molestation/outside the clothes fondling does increase slightly.

Either way they should be safe. Higher chance of getting the flu than that happening.

Why not just say no. Not to be a prick, but if you are worried, have them stay home. Order in a pizza for them or something...

You can just pass on rides until someone comes up that you feel comfortable with. If it's an absolute must that they go, I think the FaceTime idea is a good one. You can even tell her to let you talk to the driver. However, I think your mom should be consulted on this as well, if she hasn't been already.

 

Yeah, there is a sliding scale of skin color you can choose from. Beware though, the fare goes up as you slide to a lighter color.

 

Wait until you find out what you don't know 20 years later, like they took their fake ID's to the local club, met two guys who were 25 years old driving fieros, got trashed on drinks the guys were buyin, then drove home above the legal limit on the railroad tracks at 2am because it was a short cut, got breakfast and some potato scraps at the local diner, and then dragged their drunk carcass in to their bedroom while you slept through it all.

UBER drivers are not supposed to pick up riders under the age of 18 per the agreement they sign prior to driving. If they do this and are discovered giving rides to minors, they can lose their right to drive on the UBER app. Not saying people don't give the rides anyways, but they are risking a lot to give those rides. So, its possible the driver might deny the ride anyways is the point I'm making here.

 

So remember to provide her with a fake ID. Go with one that's 21+ to be safe.
