Is it me or are the Timberwolves looking pretty talented?

    PG: Rubio/Barea
    SG: Johnson/Ellington
    SF: Beasly/Randolph
    PF: Williams/ Randolph
    C: Love/Darko

That looks like a respectable team to me, and with a short season, a young team like this will have it a lot easier than a team like Boston or SA. I wouldn't be surprised if they win 30+ games this year.

I'm thinking Lob City is gunna be in Minny, Johnson, Beasley and Williams are gonna look amazing next to Rubio running the point.

Love won't play center. Darko will be the starter there.

You collect enough top 3 picks, and sooner or later your team will start looking good. Honestly though that team doesn't look that good to me. I just want Love and Derrick Williams from Minny's roster. Wesley Johnson didn't really do anything last year, I don't know if he'll become better this year.

If you get enough lottery picks, you can simply pick based on mock drafts and eventually have a talented teams. Putting it together is a different story.

    not as a team.

Adelman gave them pretty bad reviews recently.

My concern for them is that it seems to take awhile to get the Adelman system established and running. It might be worse having such a young team. They might lose quite a few games while they are trying to learn the Adelman offense.

I doubt they start two rookies. I'd guess Ridnour over Rubio.

I doubt Derrick Williams and Ricky Rubio even get playing time before the trade deadline.

We are talking about Rick Adelman here.

Honestly... that line up really is not that impressive. Every single player in their starting 5 has warts, and half the line up in playing out of position or does not have a real set position.

Love is obviously a very productive and smart player, but he is the only for certain performer.

The team has talent, but they have a ways to go before they are going to be even close to a respectable team.

Right now they really have maybe 2 guys that put their blood on the court every night, and that is Love and Ellington.

I don't know if Beasley will ever be a great player, he is an excellent scorer. It remains to be seen what Rubio brings to the table.

I think their team is unbalanced right now. If I were the twolves I'd try to nab Larry Sanders from the bucks, and hope that Wesley Johnson can develop into a defensive stopper.

The idea that you think that Kevin Love can play the five shows that you know very little about Timberwolves basketball. And I'm with ros. Love and Williams are the only ones I would want. Maybe Nikola Pekovic, who you didn't list. Even with our center problem, I would not want Darko.

They're talented. Young, but talented. If they can grasp Adelman's system and play solid D, they could be this year's Memphis or Indiana.

Considering the Blazers are likely to be worse (and potentially the Hornets as well), you're looking at, in my opinion, two open playoff spots that Houston, Minnesota, Golden State, and the Clippers will be fighting for.

Love is a much more natural fit at PF, but he can play the five with ease. I'm higher on Rubio than most. The kid is a gifted passer, plays solid defense, and is an all around playmaker. His shot is pretty much his only weakness. But Jason Kidd is barley over 40% for his career and has had great success being a pass first PG. They have tons of offense here. Darko and Randolph are respectable defenders. No doubt they will have there woes, but regardless Adelman will put his best players on the floor, which are Williams and Rubio at there positions.

Besides Love and Williams they are pretty thin on talent. Johnson and Rubio still have a lot to prove. Ridnour, Barea, Webster, Toliver, Darko, these are all good role players and nothing more.
