Does that scenario involve magic? Because he can't get to Brooklyn or LA through FA if we trade for him. Only Atlanta, or Dallas. He'll also be out 30 million if he chooses either of those 2 over Houston. So, yeah, I'll go with the Dwight scenario.
Why even bother? Do you remember how much this guy hyped up Thabeet last year? Some people just get prospect boners for unproven players. It's like baseball fans who convince themselves that every toolsy outfielder in their team's system is the next Mays and every hard-thowing right hander dominating AA is the next Clemens. The only way they'll learn is through enough disappointment.
So, will Houston be the next Seattle - I hope not because I don't want them to leave Houston. Come on, there are different roads to success, but in all cases, it takes quality owners, GMs and coaches to make it happen.
I think we are more at an advance stage though. Imo, give these rookies a legit start for one year, then make some move next year (FA or trades, not draft) and be legit!
