Damn, he and Lin had a similar injury but can we get an update at least?

"Further clarification on Smith's status: McHale says Greg will not be playing tonight due to lingering knee issues."

--- crazy how we went from having 4 centers on the roster during preseason "Howard, Asik, smith, camby" to basically not even having a backup center for almost half of the season so far

I remember me thinking "we got too many point guards and centers!". In hindsight, yeah we should have gotten two or three more.

^^^^^morey has a lot to figure out, because this asik and smith knee thing is something we can’t afford going into the playoffs and if were fighting for a top 4 spot in the west.

Yes, he can take up Smith's minutes.
I really feel bad for Greg though, hope he gets better soon.

i miss greg smith. the dude has good hands offensively and has a knack for getting offense boards. if only he could shore up his defense a little

Smith was looking good this year. Like he turned a corner on offense. We could use him now.

This is not a chronic injury. This would classify as the same injury that still needs treatment. My guess is, he came back too soon.

Greg is a solid bench big... looking forward to having him back, although I'm not sure where he will get playing time. Maybe if Morey makes a trade that'll open things up for him.

I was at the Knicks game when Smith injured his leg...they show'd it like 6 times on the big screen... It looked horrible, surprised he wasn't out for the year (it looked that bad)

On the bench. He must wait for his opportunity to show what he got.
