Is Dwight Howard even a top 10 center?

    lmao at you people.
Al Jefferson, Whiteside, Lopez put up some empty numbers.
Greg Monroe is AWFUL and maybe part of the reason the Bucks defense went from top of the league last year to the bottom this year(obviously not him alone).

Duncan is great but on this team Duncan would look horrible.
Dwight clearly is better than DJ and outplayed him in the PO.
Bogut like Duncan would look like trash on this team.

Only 5 better Cousins, Drummund, Marc... Gobert & KAT will be there soon.

    Drummond, DMC, Jordan, Whiteside

Are players who will have better seasons the Howard. As others have mentioned though, playoff Howard is a different animal.

Also as for Horford, he's probably a equal or better player as a PF, but for the C position Howard's rebounding and defensive presence makes him the better center.

Okafor, Towns may be better in the future not now.

Jefferson, Gasol and Monroe are all way too bad defensively to be considered.

This guy looks like he is 40 tonight? How much did he party?

Im begining to really think we will improve if he decides to leave. He just clogs the paint, when capela is out there he looks and moves like jones and gives James all the space to operate. Dwight is the opposite

Its been said all these seasons. The less Dwight is involved at stagnant offense, the less overall focus and performance you get from him. It's been a proven direct correlation, so from there guess what's better for both him and the team.

I am so disappointed with his pick and roll defense. Doesn't even pretend to step up and show on the ball handler.

This. He gives such a half hearted effort. It's disappointing. It's like he's just hoping they miss so he can get an easy rebound. Step up a little.

He definitely looked like he mailed it in tonight. Little to no effort on defense, missing easy laups (lack of focus) and just generally disengaged.

Thankfully Harden showed up or else we would have gotten blown the **** out.

Watch him set picks, this has been going on for a long time now even back when he played for the Lakers but he sets the softest picks.

It's like he sets the pick only to get the ball back. Doesn't really put his body into it and is ready to roll at the rim ASAP even if the guy he's setting the pick for didn't benefit from it at all.

Yep - if Bogut and Green are some of the hardest pick setters in the league, Dwight is among the softest. But he also doesn't have much control over the pick - he either manhandles the defender, or he barely grazes him and then ends up getting his roll cut off because he's lost a step.

Funny enough, Asik was a tremendous pick setter. He just had no ability to finish on the roll.

Probably a good chance he's not getting the extension he wants from the Rockets. He's more than likely seeing that he will not be here after next year so he's mailing it in now.

Well if the Rockets aren't going to pay him, it'd make much more sense to not mail it in so he can potentially get a big pay day from another team.

Was at the game last night and had seats down by the court. Dwight definitely played as if he was mentally checked out. Heck, he was even engaging drunk fans who were heckling him near the very end of the game. I've tried to remain optimistic about James/Dwight taking the next step, but I think our window with this duo is closed.

Yeah. Huge reason why Harden/Capela has been a more effective PnR combo than Harden/Dwight. It's very frustrating.
