Another thing to add is that Clint has elite hands. He catches everything that comes to him. He's like Deandre Hopkins of Basketball. If Yao had hands like that he would have averaged 30 points a game.

absolutely no reason for him to add a mid range game. Just like harden as said before. players waste their time working on things they never do in an actual game. Im glad capela isn't wasting his time and is continuing to focus on what he has and improving on those aspects

Any Skill that Davis/Embiid have . . .. .is really not all that useful on our team
No one is trying to develop it with Clint

if either one of those guys were on this team, they would absolutely be useful.

    No doubt
But . . . .. The skills they have and developed
Would not have been stressed and developed here

They would be more like Icing on the Cake than anything

If Clint had a knockdown jumper from the elbow, ala Nene or Scola, he would be unstoppable in our system. They leave him wide open there. He would create so much space for our guards if he could knock down that shot.

they would still continue to develop them. they just have a different ceiling. And the rockets would play differently than they would with just capela here. The rockets play to a player's strengths and if either one were here instead of capela, they'd do the same with them

As an individual player, probably not. But he's an absolutely perfect fit on this team. Ok, maybe not perfect. If he had a jumper, then he'd be perfect. But he's damn close.

I'm not saying he will develop that shot... but you have to like how much his FT form and percentages have improved within the past 3-4 seasons.

It gives you hope on him, but I'm not holding my breath on that becoming a fixture in his repertoire.

I'll be just as happy if he continues to improve his defense and provide the big man numbers offensively and defensively that he has been within our current system.

    I dunno...

Gobert been ballin as of late,
    Embiid still doing Embiid things.
    Let's leave KAT at that.
This summer we'd all liked DeAndre.
    But then there's Jokic.
I mean Drummond is averaging a doubledouble.
    Oh yeah, AD.

But then again if you look at the numbers...
    [all rounded upwards]

    Clint: 18pts 13rbs
    Gobert: 15pts 13rbs
    Embiid: 27pts 14rbs
    Towns: 23pts 13rbs
    Jordan: 11pts 14rbs
    Jokic: 19pts 10rbs
    Drummond: 17pts 15rbs
    Davis: 29pts 14rbs

So I suppose you could say he's got
    - Gobert
    - Jordan
    BEAT.

    Then there's the L's
    - Embiid
    - Towns
    - Davis

Meaning the spots for 4th and 5th best big are up between:
    Clint, Jokic, Drummond.

Let's just asume he'd beat out one of those two.
    [this is a Rocketsforum afterall]

    You're doing great Clint.

Rockets’ Clint Capela: ‘I think I’m an All-Star’

    https://m.chron.com/sports/rockets/..._eoJiBMrsOhlEZNd0nt-2EsNtmPQ5xIUFv3mYNAMH96Iw

"I think I'm an All-Star," Capela said before the Rockets faced the Trail Blazers on Saturday. "I think I've been playing at an All-Star level. My numbers are showing that. My team's winning. I have a great impact on that. And of course, I think that James (Harden) is the MVP."

But would they be happy playing that complementary role?

they are each in that type of role now on their respective teams. and they would be one of the faces here. wouldn't be much different

Maybe top ten. I like him a lot, but without Harden, he might be pretty average.

If it was just Harden than everyone big Harden played with could put up those numbers but it hasn't happened. Give Clinty all the credit for accepting role, buying into the scheme, and executing perfectly.
