very few untouchables in this league. don't think this team is carrying any of them. like to hear the answer to this question mid season next year though. future looks pretty bright for this kid.
I personally like him, and think he can be had due to George stepping up and a down season. But my idea is that I'll trade Parsons in a package for a 2nd-3rd tier type of star. A Kyle Lowry caliber player at another position, if you will. Whether that's actually Granger of course depends on who's available, and what the Rockets management think.
Yes, technically, he is untouchable. He is only player on this team who can make a major impact when you need.
No, he's more tradeable now than ever before. When he was just a second-round pick who lucked into a good situation, he was nothing more than a cap throw-in, and the Rockets would probably prefer to throw in some other salary. By now, teams might actually factor his worth into the talent swap of deals under consideration. So, they might actually offer a worthwhile player for him.
He has improved every month, very hard worker who isn't afraid of pressure on either end of court...maybe he is not untouchable but I hope the rockets don't trade him...fav player!
You know, if Morris is a bust, I will be okay with it. It looks like we got two top 10 lottery guys later in the same draft... two out of three at that level is pretty impressive given the picks we had.
What is this? I don't understand why its cool to hate on the Rockets and Rockets players. Obviously Parsons isn't close to untouchable but he has been fantastic this year.
The only player I thought had this label in the past was Chuck Hayes. But then he had that crazy season last year and Sacramento paid him. Dang it. Hopefully that doesn't happen with Parsons when his contract is up.
Yes he is and I'm glad he's become a good player but I'm not going to fool myself into thinking he's going to become some great player. Budinger and Aaron Brooks are prime examples of how the GARM overrates and builds up players. Is it too much now to reasonably call players what they are? Does Chandler start at SF on any contending team? No so why would he be untouchable?
Nope, but with his low salary it's going to be hard to get equal value for him. If you include him in a package for a superstar, great. Otherwise, why trade the young glue guy that's locked up for three more years at a dirt cheap $1mil/yr?
I can guarantee that Parsons starts on the Lakers if he were on that team. Also, Leonard is starting on the Spurs, what makes you think Parsons can't? Their numbers are similar, Parsons is slightly superior in a few aspects.
I said a Contender and the Lakers are not contenders this year. They are in the same boat as the Hawks. Leonard would start over Parsons too.
