Favorite to play : Football Favorite to Watch : NFL Favorite to Discuss: Football strategies / FA/ Draft / etc
Definitely basketball 1) Basketball 2) Football 3) Soccer And I'm trying to get back into tennis Can't stand baseball or hockey (although hockey isn't too bad in person)
I'd probably try to catch most of the Texans' games on TV, just because there's so few of them compared to the Rockets' schedule.
Basketball is my favorite. However, if it was shown more, and made more hyped up, I sorta think, rodeo and bullriding specifically is a very untapped sport. I'm not sure it could be as big as MMA, but the danger factor is there. There really just needs to be full-on circuit with behind the scenes and also make tour stops more memorable and to me it could get big.
It used to be baseball and the 'Stros - some of my favorite memories as a kid are watching the Killer B's with my dad and brother. '04/'05 were just so much fun. Then Purpura happened, I graduated HS and stopped playing baseball, and in '06 I was left looking for a sport to obsess over. Pickup ball came and then I got hooked on the Rockets during their 22 game win streak. It's been basketball ever since, both pros and college.
15 years ago (+/-) PBR was a big deal much like MMA is today. Something happened and it spilt in to two groups and kind of lost steam. PBR CBR
1. NBA 2. College football 3. College basketball I only occasionally watch the NFL (mostly playoffs) but it would be much higher if we still had the Oilers; may Bud Adams be tormented in hell for eternity.
The NHL is my true sports love, with basketball a distant #2. But I'm a native Houstonian and therefore enjoy Clutchfans much more than any hockey messageboard I've frequented (which all tend to be very elitist and irritating). NHL all-star weekend is similar to the NBA, a skills competition, accuracy shootout, hardest shot competition, speed skating competition, and 'creative' shot competition (which is even more worthless as the dunk contest). I watched this year's all star game and couldn't make it more than half way. In a sport that is even more about grit and physicality, it's horrible to watch a no-effort pick up game.
1. Football (real one) / NBA 2. NBA / Football (real one) 3. Tennis 4. Cricket 5. Rugby . ... . ... . 10. Golf ... .. .. 20. Arching .. . . ... 30. Curling ... . . ... ... ... .... 99. Stick ball (unathletic druggged up fatty sport baseball with players with big paunches and limited athletic ability or skills). 100. Eggball aka NFL (fake tough guy sport played with protective gear and requires limited athleticism or brains, just eat big macs and get big and fat while taking PED's and other drugs, a "sport" with despicable people like Rice or Batterson etc).
I came here just to see FTW make a dumbass post about egg ball. That train's never late! My favorite is NFL, but Ballstreams has gotten me much more interested in NBA as a whole the last few years.
