I like him, but most comedians seem to go through a product lifecycle because their shtick gets old. Remember Dane Cook? Hart's is probably peaking with successful movies like Jumanji.
I don't either...but, F*CK they are just horrible movies and they keep coming at what feels like a pace of 1 a week.
These types of things are really easy. When there’s a successful comedian that you don’t think is funny, chances are you’re just not the intended audience. There’s a ton of comedians that can’t even get me to crack a smile. That said, I can’t can see how Kevin Hart can become annoying to some. I like him though. Great story teller.
I'm not a big fan of Kevin Hart or The Rock and of course I don't care for the 10 movies they try to put out each year. I will say that I do understand why they are doing everything on offer- movies, tv, ads, etc. They both know how it is when work was scarce for them and they struggled to earn any money. They know the hype train they are on won't keep going forever and they are trying to do as much and make as much as they can in the meanwhile. I can't begrudge them for that. I'll just keep ignoring their work though.
i like kevin hart's stand up. a few of his movies are enjoyable, though he plays the same person in all of them.
I feel as though I was born 15-20 years too early to appreciate him, because he just feels like another Comic View guy. I remember thinking Martin Lawrence was basically done after his sitcom and personal life imploded, so as shocked as I was to see him become a box office draw, making kids' movies no less, Kevin Hart's global footprint and pure numbers are pretty staggering. I believe he filmed a special at a football stadium once, which doesn't even seem like it would make sense.
Yeah, he did it in his hometown of Philly. Had the whole damn stadium sold out for a comedy show. Thats nuts. In one of my previous posts, I mentioned his box office stand up, where people paid money to NOT see a live event of a comedy show in a movie theater. Its crazy how many avenues his money has come from, all of which is unheard of for a comedian. Hes just so oversaturated now and thats what annoys me.
He's been one of the highest paid entertainers for the last two years. He can milk it for all it's worth, then coast on Vegas paychecks.
It's weird that all, I mean all, of his movies suck but he is hilarious on SNL. What's the difference? Writers?
I saw 40yr old virgin on Netflix the other day and forgot Kevin Hart was in it. I liked that Kevin Hart. 60 seconds. Must have been one of his first gigs. He’s over exposed now. I don’t think his comedy is funny at all but some of his roles have been good.
yeah, it was for me...I’m not gonna lie, I thought it was gonna be some bullsh*t, but Jack Black was hilarious and Hart was pretty funny at times
Jack Black is another comedian that never did much for me. Did like Wonder Boy and The Greatest Song In The World, but that's about it. Will eventually get around to Jumanji though, too many good reviews.
