For me, it's like MDA don't know who should really play between Ryan and Nene at the 5 cause both have been pretty bad, and tbh i can't even blame him at this point. Ryan defense is terrible and at home he can't even shoot, Nene looks done by a physical standpoint...really sucks that Wright got injured again.
The answer is to give ryno at least 7 foot of space. Have his defender sit on the bench and maybe than will he launch his 3’s. Honestly ppl talk about him needing minutes and what not when all I see is him deferring and passing up on semi open looks. If u play weak and don’t do what you’re payed to do for 7 mins it makes perfect sense to have someone else play over you. Gordon is playing badly by taking some really highly contested low IQ shots in the playoffs but at least he’s shooting, this guy just plays hot potato. He’s had like a couple nice offensive rebounds in the series that’s about it
yeah he's definitely the new asik. when he's confident and aggressive with his shooting and rebounding he's a very good rotation player. but right now his shot isn't there and he's not even trying to shoot himself out of the slump. he will be traded this summer to his hometown kings who will have cap space and no one to sign. we'll have to throw a pick their way, but if we can stay operating over the cap that kind of trade could give us a sizable trade exception to use all of next year, while lowering immediate cap hit to make room for resigning capela, ariza, luc, green, paul...
