On the subject of the original post, I await with eager anticipation how much money these scammers will make from stupid Venture Capitalists. They will raise money from stupid people, hire scientists to make it look like they are fair, the scientists will report "hey, this doesn't seem to work and violates every known scientific fact", and they will then say "this just means we need more money to perfect it". Stupid people, not wanting to admit they were stupid, will then gladly fork over more money in a desparate attempt to recoup costs. And the cycle of life goes on.

    LOL
It is the invisible Marble all over again
    they did not prove anything
they measure the effects of something they guess is there

    What they KNOW
    1. there is Gravitational pull
    2. they cannot account for it
    3. they GUESS that a large Mass is affecting it
    4. They guess since they don't see the mass. . it is invisible

    This is just like religion
and explaination for something you lack the proof to prove
    You guess..
You fill in the blanks . .with what ever fits

    This isn't proof.
Only thing they proved was that their was gravitational pull inthe area
and that they don't know what caused it
    so . . .
THEY GUESS it must be this Mysterious Invisible DARK MATTER
where as . .a religious would tell you it is the Mysterious Invisible GOD!

You cannot be this logic deprived?

It's not proof... It's more like confirmation of what they've been doing for the past 30 years. The gas wouldn't be pink without a dark matter-like substance. MOND is not happy, but MOND is not dead.

:D Google is my friend. Took me 3 tries to get it trying to decide on the correct words to use in the search, but found a number of versions of it.

Man I love Family Guy. I'm just surprised I was the first to post it in this thread.

yeah..but all those scottish freaks moved to Ireland ultimately and came to America. and they got here and got all uppity and dropped the Mc from their names!!! how embarassing!!!! :D

incidentally, my middle name is my mom's maiden name...a Mc name. my grandfather was intensely proud of the fact his parents/grandparents had not dropped the Mc. my oldest son has it for his middle name, as well.

Yes RR, you are right and the highly educated NASA astrophysicists are wrong. The Chandra X-ray orbiting observatory found "God's magic" and nothing scientific at all. Thank you for pointing that out for me. I am truly grateful.

Uh, not really "moved" for the most part, more like "got kicked out of Britain by the king". And "Mac" is Scottish, "Mc" is Irish. My ancestors never dropped a "Mac" but for some reason an alternative spelling of my name does start with "Mac" (completely different name, though). I never understood that. It would be like saying an alternate spelling for the family name Smith is Johnson.

i know..those from the south, in particular. the british weren't too kind to the irish or the scottish. the scottish were given opportunities in the new world that the irish didn't have for generations.

The Irish were depicted as apes. I'm probably telling you something you already know. But there were all sorts of riots in the streets of Boston and elsewhere immediately following the deliver of the Emancipation Proclamation...because the Irishmen who fought never dreamed that they were fighting to free slaves whom they'd ultimately compete with for jobs.

Yeah, my ancestors were reivers. There is a church along the border that has a cemetery with hundreds of tombstones with my last name on it. Most were short lived.

It is true that even today there is a lingering issue with the Irish. I know that in London most of the construction workers and other hard labor types are Irish.
