Holy crap! You just described my shopping habits in perfect detail (with the exception of the leather shoes, of course). I'm chagrined to find we super-smart lefties are so easily categorized.
There are a lot of us in this particular "herd." But not all of us are "anti-war." I wish we could just tell everyone to be nice, but it doesn't always work. Sometimes short-term war produces long-term peace. I don't know if we need to go to war this time or not, but I'm certainly not foolish enough to believe that those who are convinced we do just don't care about American and Iraqi poor people. Believe it or not, some are actually concerned about the lives of both.
