I don't agree...Shaq had great footwork, especially for his size and he knew how to use his body. Dwight is all upper body strength, which is why he is always elbowing and pushing players instead of being able to use his legs and core area to get position. He doesn't have it like that..he moves like a robot, probably too much strength up top because he moves just like an unbalanced athlete in that regard.

It honestly shouldn't even take all of this time to learn how to do a simple post hook shot without looking like you have a cruise ship anchor bolted to your jersey. Hakeem is too agile of a player for Dwight Howard to mimmic. Maybe he needs to go work out with Z-Bo and learn quick strong concise simple post moves.

There's a difference between Tony Parker taking Lin off the dribble because Parker is awesome and Nash standing their while d-leaguers take 1 step either direction to get around him.

None of those lakers even tried to rotate on defense except metta, so Dwight ends up not coming off his man because Kobe and Nash will never rotate to the pick man to cover it.

Barkley is playing it safe just in case Howard becomes a Rocket next season. He's warming up the hate.

Thankfully though, Dwight won't become a Rocket.

Such a shame Yao had that ankles rolled on, never missed anything till then. Would have prolly been a Top 5 C of all time....Behind prolly Dream, Russell, Kareem and Shaq. I'd consider him better than Wilt or the Admiral if his longevity kept up. A prime Yao with this team would rule all....

It's true, Dwight Howard doesn't know how to post up. The guy doesn't even know how to seal his man correctly so that the ball doesn't get swatted or stolen away. What dominant force inside can't even seal their man? Without that, you can't even get the ball. I think the Lakers were more comfortably throwing it into Gasol than to Howard.

The best word to describe Dwight isn't "robotic." "Uncoordinated" on the offense end is probably the best description. Yao was very coordinated, but due to his size with respect to his competition, he appeared robotic. Dwight doesn't look like he can repeat the same post move twice in a row.

There are different types of athleticism. A high vertical leap or being able to run fast does not always mean great coordination or agility. Dwight's problem is that he isn't big enough or strong enough to play like Shaq did but he isn't agile or coordinated enough to emulate Dream.

Howard trying to do Dream's moves is like Trevor Ariza trying to play like prime McGrady.

I agree with you, I would say he's more like David Robinson without the jump shot, and shorter.
