Much as I love Soundgarden, Audioslave was PERFECT. RATM and Chris Cornell was the perfect pairing. Makes me sad I never got to see him perform live. Dude got me through a lot.

Frusciante is an phenomenal guitarist, no doubt. I try not to get caught up in who is "better" than who, since it's all subjective.

Reason I'd like to see them during the Hillel era is because they were so much more edgy and dangerous back then - and hungry. They're a lot more content nowadays, and that usually doesn't lead to good music (see Aerosmith, Sting). Nothing really crazy happens at their shows (rock out with your **** out, etc.) Sure, it was all fueled by drugs....but so what!

If I'm going to go to a show, I want it to be so memorable that I'm still talking about it decades later, like that Living Colour show back in 88....oh, man.....

I know I'll get flamed for this. Look, I could definitely appreciate seeing the Beatles or (my pick would be) Queen in their prime...just let me tell my little story lol

I went to see Lil Wayne in 2008. This was at the height of his powers. He was being featured on everyone's songs from Kanye to Weezer. He had been arrested the night before. He came out and did a no-effort, sluggish show for 1 or 2 songs. He dissed his dj and threw his jacket at him, and at some point just left the stage.

We waited a long time, at least one hour but maybe more than 2, I can't remember. He finally came back out and said something like "the people left in this audience must be the most understanding mother****ers in the world".

What followed was the greatest performance I will ever witness.

2008 Lil Wayne was the GOAT. People underestimate this dude back in 2004-2008. I mean he was killing every single track and I believe you!!!

They pitched this song to the Monkees and it resulted in Michael Nesmith punching a hole in a wall & leaving while screaming at the Monkees management because he was tired of singing crappy pop music.
