The idiotic part about this trade is that it wasn't made for any other reason except that the ownership team wants to play with its new toy and they don't give a crap about the fans who suffered with this team for 10 long years.

I am not going to say that the deal was a bad. It wasn't a bad deal, but from a fan standpoint, this dudes can't even let the fans have one more year. What were they afraid of? The grizzlies actually making some noise in the playoffs.

Whatever. Memphis is tiger nation and this move solidifies that even more.

Don't worry, Jose Calderon is about to show the world he is on Chris Paul's level.

Being a big fan of a team can make you a bit delusional about how great/not great certain players on the team are. I know you've done a lot of backpeddling after the atrocious "On Durant's level" thread you created, but I think you've still overvalued Gay for how much he was costing the grizz...he's peaked and probably might even decline a bit from here on out. Actually, this looks like a move Morey would make and even though it may cause a little anger in the "everyone stays and we ride this team out" fanbase, in the end the team will probably be better for it.

But memphis did good and had to do it... besides your team is the seconf least profitable franchise losing 25 mill according to forbes and has to cut salary... and they won! The trade...

Gay is over-rated/over-payed and the trade was overdue...

    it's okay what

Gay wasn't that good, your team will probably be better off without him his 14 PER and his 20 million dollar a year contract.

If Memphis is depending on the Memphis Tigers for happiness get ready for depression.

We don't depend on the tigers for happiness, but at least we know that the tigers are FOR the city of memphis. Unlike the management of the grizzlies. That is why the memphis tigers have consistently outsold the grizzlies at the ticket booth.

Yeah the Memphis Tigers are the better pro team, they don't overpay their players.

Trade isn't as bad as you think. Never been a Gay fan and I think Memphis continuing their success will show how overrated he is. Grizzlies got some decent pieces in return.

LOL WHAT?! You should be celebrating, this is a Morey-like trade which takes out bad contracts for assets and dumps them on the teams with horrible GM. Hollinger isn't playing, looks like the owner made a really good hire.

All I know is that years later I'm still waiting for Gay to show he is on Durant's level. Don't think it's going to happen anymore.
