If you're shooting badly, and taking double team or one legged fadeaways, you probably shouldn't, but if they're good reasonably open shots, really the worst thing you can do is stop shooting. That's the problem with Kobe, he ramps it up by taking increasingly dumber shots. And when you don't, bad things happen, rebounders get 3 second calls, defenses get a 2nd shot at contesting (so they shot often ends up worse), etc etc

The hands in the air is a Papa thing, it's not about the crowd, it's a sign to the heavens, ya know? thank the lord? type deal.

As for crunch time, he's been the best crunch time player in the nba since last year (on the nba's player impact stat, he was almost double the 2nd best player in the nba last year), so he gets a little leeway there.

i think you need to be able to make those role players around you better and get them involved, as a floor general rather than a pure scorer to be allowed to be a "ball hog." for this reason i'd leave off kobe and melo.

 

Think you left out the part where the whole team was playing terrible and most of the players on the court didn't want to shoot. They kept passing to James. Really there is nobody that runs the team right now besides James. Ariza has been playing horrible and everybody else is getting wide open looks because of Harden. I've really liked his play so far these past couple of games. He was constantly getting double teamed which would allow him to set people up for wide open threes. Just sucks that Terry, Ariza, and Franscico have been in terrible shooting slumps. Terry finally started to look decent tonight.

What's evident is that you started this thread so you can take shots at Harden. We get it. The grizz are a great team, play team ball, not just one or two guys, and it's working.

A shooter that is open should continue to shoot. I don't ever want to see a shooter pass on a shot he should take because he's "Cold". You telling me if Curry is 1/13 you want him to just stop shooting? That's just wrong.

Harden is far from a ballhog too lol, so this thread doesn't even apply to him.

You want to know whose a ballhog? Kobe. Harden is not a ball hog so I don't know why his name is even being mentioned in this thread.
