Shumpert looked horrible out there today. Did anyone catch that play where he was limping after what looked like someone stepped on his toe? After that he wasn't even playing D or running back hard. I saw a few made 3s by the opposition with his hands not even up to contest. The fact that he's been with us over a month now and he still doesn't know 19FT = BAD, 3s = GOOD is baffling. It really looks like he doesn't even want to be here.
the guy hesitates on a 3 to take an extra step in for the long range 2 where he doesn't even have much separation, i saw this twice tonight. he missed both shots. where is the BBIQ
He will take a little bit of time. He struggled with his shot when he first joined the Knicks and then when he first joined the Cavs. He is shooting really poorly since joining the Rockets. He can be very valuable when he is locked in, but he has a history of confidence issues. If he gets some consistent minutes and some looks, we may see it improve... especially with Paul passing to him.
He is looking lost out there. But there's hope, we still have about 15 games for him to catch up to our mentality. On defense, you already know he is going to give a good effort and he's also got solid fundamentals.
Sad when people are impressed by this performance. Hopefully he gets better but hes been pretty much exactly as advertised
Kings trade Iman Shumpert to Rockets in three-team deal also involving Cavs By February 06, 2019 4:58 PM Check the trade date. It's been over a month and it doesn't matter how many games he has played in. He's been told by the coaching staff (for over a month) and he's still jacking up contested 2s. Maybe you can't teach an old dog new tricks (aka Melo)? I doubt its confidence since he's been in the league for 7 years and this has been his 4th team in 4 years. He's also only averaged 1 - 3PM per game for his career. I have no clue what the Rockets saw in this guy to trade a 1st round pick for him. As others stated, he is also blocking House from being on the team as well. We need House's shooting from the bench and not Shumpert's awful defense.
