Couple of interesting takes on the reporting of terrorists suspects who happen to be Muslim. http://www.buzzmachine.com/index.php/2006/06/04/the-first-w/ http://article.nationalreview.com/print/?q=MmRjMThlNDA0YmNmZWU1NzM4MGQ0NmVkOTUwMzExZTA=
Bush is the one that started this, by calling this a "War on Terror" instead of a "War on Islamic Extremism" or a "War on Islamic Terror" - we haven't gone after any non-Islamic terrorists (Basques, etc) that I know of. So if you have a problem with it, blame Bush. The focus from the Bush admin is terrorism, not the source. Thus, the media follows that lead.
Major, you are right! We should have called it the War on Islamic Terror, and we should have gone for the throat with greater verocity, intensity, and efficiency...
12 of the 17 are of Pakistani/Bangladeshi descent. My guess is that of the 12, 10 are Pakistani and 2 are Bangladeshi.
Umm, I read that and was pretty certain that they were Pakistani/bangladeshi. I did not find this difficult to comprehend. South Asian colloquially if not geographically means hailing from the Indian subcontinent, as I and am assuming that most of the readership of the times can discern. Idiots tilting at windmills - sounds familiar.
