Definitely some NBA-sized egos in this thread ... [IMG]

    Anyway, true story:

In high school I used to mimic Lew Lloyd's move on the fast break where he snapped the ball back behind his head then took off for a running jumper. I was doing this during a game of 21 after basketball practice one day when Elmer Bennett (he was a senior when I was a junior) saw me, grinned, and said "Lew Lloyd!" From then on, he always greeted me as "Lew Lloyd!" and I strongly suspected he had no idea what my real name was.

Cut to several years later (1997 to be exact), and Elmer is with the Rox for a cup of coffee. I went to see them play the Bullets in DC (where I lived at the time) and made my way down during halftime where Elmer was shooting around:

ME: Hey Elmer! It's [insert name here]!

Elmer starts walking toward me despite the fact that he clearly has no idea who I am.

    ME: Uh ... Bellaire Cardinals!

Nothing, but he keeps walking closer.

ME: I had that Lew Lloyd jumper!

Recognition flashes across Elmer's face along with a huge grin.

ELMER: Hey man! How's it goin'?

So, I no longer have "that Lew Lloyd jumper." I'd say I'm kind of like Sam Mack -- not much interest in defense (but not horrible at it), not going to get you many boards, but damn good in the open court and capable of sinking jumper after jumper from all over the court when hot . I'd venture to say that I have better court vision than Mack. Wouldn't want to compare myself to him off the court, though! [IMG]

    Jalen Rose,
I work hard at playing defense - I guess the comparison is there because I'm 6'1 and play SF but spend half a game at PG.

If I could play then I might've drawn Penny Hardaway comparisons, but sadly I have no game [IMG]

Sadly I am just like Jeff Hornacek. Unlimited range, great FT shooter, can drive the lane. I cannot pass worth a lick.

Im probably Bullard,I stand behind the arc mostly but I am not deadly unless you leave me open.My best shot is the midrange jumper,Im not that great of a rebounder(5'8"200+lbs)but I can box out pretty good something Matt can not do,I say that but Bull would make any of us his biatch! [IMG]

I was called Mullin in high school, but now I would compare myself to Bob Sura, with the exception of the springs he has in his legs.

I'd compare myself to Reggie Miller. Cause any team that I play on always runs me around picks to get me to shoot turnaround jumpers a la Reggie Miller. Plus, when my J is falling, I have a mouth on me. And I want the ball in my hands when it's money time. One

    Charles Barkley.

I can rebound like a mutha, have decent post moves, and love to jack it up from outside.

Maybe like Rodman because you'll never out-hustle me.

Wow, been a long time since I posted on the BBS.

I would say for me it would have to be Charles Barkely.

Im not tall at all but I have the skills of a forward. I was a VERY good rebounder and would give the taller forwards ALOT of grief [IMG]

I also wasnt about to back down to the bigger players.

I wish I could have said Hakeem but I was just way to short to play center.

Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Langhi at the buzzer.......YES!!! How Sweet It Is!!
