Anyone who won't cut taxes for the rich and won't make the poor any more miserable.

"Pot-smoking never-had-a-job-outside of community-organizing-and-lecturing law students-but hey he's half black" has proven to not be a recipe for success, either.

So basically no one that is a Republican (who won't cut taxes for the rich) or a Democrat (won't make the poor any more miserable)

The sad thing is, you see every one of those things as a negative.

buck started it with the drug use.

and being half-black isn't a negative, but it is a negative when people vote for you only because of your race (which some posters on this board even admitting to doing)

yeah, it's clear Obama was woefully under qualified for the role. We also underestimated either A) how incapable and incompetent he is at working across the aisle or B) how lazy he is at working across the aisle.

    Time for **change**

In theory that sounds good but in a way it would also make them horrible choices, even though I align with both on a political level.

Both these guys led their organizations from the beginning with a level of authority and autonomy that vastly exceeds anything the president gets. Their constituents are either a beholden board who they made rich or fawning shareholders for a company that they effectively own or at least exercise unchecked dominion over. Way differentthan stepping into the role of President and dealing with congress, courts voters etc.

Berkshire Hathaway at the parent level is a tiny org in Omaha that basically relied on the stock picking genius of its founder, that's a far cry from running the federal government. Microsoft is much bigger but I can't really imagine Bill Gates time there wasn't based as much on his coding and monopoly than anything else.

The whole "outsider" thing us hard to make work out because government is about a lot of hard, boring consensus building. Being an outsider here, especially at the federal level, can be a huge disadvantage.

Michael Bloomberg, or pretty much any NYC mayor other than Lindsay or Dinkins. Jerry Brown, maybe.

    Who is "buck?"

Oh, pardon me. I looked up the term. An interesting word to use when referring to our president, texxx. A male slave was often referred to as a "buck." No doubt a coincidence, right? You must have had some other reason to chose that word in particular.

    Fewer American soldiers dying
    Stock market in great shape
    Fewer uninsured
No personal scandals real or imagined
Healthy forward looking general attitude from the bully pulpit
Intelligent, thoughtful, reserved, mature, well spoken...virtually gaffe free for 7 years
    Centrist, skilled politician

I don't know what your criteria are defining success for a President are?

(I wonder if Hillary will appoint him to the Supreme Court?)

I find the fact that "big"texxx found it necessary to frame criticism of a Black American president in racist terms on a day when a racist murdered several innocent worshippers inside an historic Black church to be disgusting. I don't agree with everything Mr. Obama has done, or not done, but to frame an argument as "big"texxx does, in racist terms? Why? What is the point? Does he think he's funny? Is he simply a racist?

Putting that aside, I'm waiting for 2019, dude. I'll be ready.
