not that i want to perpetuate the proliferation of stereotypes, but if you look at any medical science research (i've seen some - ask some of the med ppl on the bbs), african american bodies are more pre-disposed to forming muscle. i remember reading an interesting article about it 3-4 years ago.
They tend to have a larger number of fast twitch muscle fibers, which are more useful for explosive, powerful movements...
So why is Wladimir Klitschko beating the crap out of every brother(boxer) they put in front of him? David"the big mouth" Hayes will taste Dr Steel Hammer come this June.
That could be true....but then Yao wouldn't be Yao if he's African American. He wouldn't have that soft touch or that work ethics that Asian have...soz.
Here is another stereotype of African Americans. See Bryant, Kobe. You think he doesn't have work ethics or a silky smooth touch?????
U mean like Dream or David Robinson? How about Kareem that made dunking outlawed so he came up with the sky hook. Nevermind.
If Yao were African-American, he wouldn't be Yao. He would be some other 7'6" dude. And that dude would be judged based on his skill, talents and the effort he put forth every night. Just like every player in the league.
Actually, that was all stereotype. Blacks are better athletes and entertainers because historically the very best and brightest of our race were excluded from other pathways to success in Western society: partly because of perceptions about intelligence and leadership, and possibly also because sports and entertainment used to pay blue collar wages.
if Yao were black, he would probably be derided the way olowokandi was. All those missed dunks, facials will outweigh anything else he does.
