If we had brought back everyone would we have made the finals this year?

Let's say we had kept Harden, Westbrook, and gotten woods could we have made the finals.

    I would argue yes.

Lakers - Lebron seems hurt and AD is always day-to-day da and their supporting cast isn't good.
Clips - Defense has fallen off and Ibaka is hurt
    Denver - Murray is gone
    Phoenix CP3 is always hurt
Jazz - This might have been a tough matchup, but we always had their number.

Wish we had just gone for it.

At this point and for the last few years, constructing a title contender with Westbrook on it is impossible in a salary cap league.

Makes way too much money to fill out the rest of the roster and there isn’t a coach or organization with the balls yet to actually relegate him to the role that he is fit for at this point of his career so you are forced to play Russ ball if you have him. Which means letting Russ control and shoot the ball a ton and letting him make decisions as your PG for large portions of basketball games. Which means winning at a high level is not in the cards.

No but if we kept the 2018 or even the 2019 team we would be the 1 seed for sure. Trading for russ messed up everything. If we kept Cp3 and kept adding at the margins we would have kept knocking at the door and would have eventually won 2020 or this year

Yeah Lebrons definitely adding a 3rd superstar to his squad this offseason. Whether it’s Jimmy Butler, Beal, Derozan or Curry or Dame. He’s going to be adding to that team

Westbrook, Melo, Capella, Harden, CP3, Ariza, etc would make quite a lineup.

No. Harden had his chances in 2019 when KD got hurt. He choked.

    Yep.

All Tilly had to do was to sign MDA.

    That was the tipping point.

We definitely wouldn't have to face the Nets in the Finals.

    LOL

Westbrook had 33/25/79 shooting splits this postseason taking 17 shots a game

it’s amazing how people still think u can win anything of significance with Westbrook having a major role

How much more evidence do people need? My goodness, he’s trash every year in the postseason, and people still think he’s some winning player because he’ll have some 1 or 2 month stretch during the regular season where his efficiency isn’t pure sh*t and he’s having 20 rebound or 20 assist games. Westbrook is still out here catfishing people. HE’S NOT GOOD. Idc how many rebounds or assists he’s getting, a player with his usage and level of inefficiency is just straight up harmful, especially in the playoffs. Teams would just double or trap Harden at halfcourt, and leave it up to Westbrook to make decisions.

When I read the title I assumed we were talking CP3. It didn't even cross my mind that somebody could be talking about Westbrook.

If we had kept CP3, combined with whatever Morey added with the assets we wasted on Westbrook, we win the title last year, and are one of the favorites this year.

Westbrook will always drag the team down eventually.

If we could rewind to 2019 and make different minor moves, yes.

    Westbrook. Lol

Keep Capela, don't even need "Woods"
