I definitely agree with you there, I think there's a better chance Harden gets the reg season MVP, than Houston getting out of the first round. I want them to succeed but if they don't show up and only go through the motions come playoffs, or McHale doesn't decide to make game time adjustments it's inevitable.

We're not the Spurs because they've proven they can turn it on in the playoffs. The Rockets turning it on in the first round only equates to 2 wins, unfortunately this isn't college ball so that's basically a 6 game series, haha. And another point as proven by old Rockets teams from the 90's and current Spurs is really good teams only play in the playoffs, and don't worry about losing in reg season, just have to make it to playoffs to perform (see Dallas last year), sure they lost but they at least pushed the champs to 7 games (the only team to do so last year).

Yes, dead on. Basically if Harden is off or stopped Houston is done, GSW have already won games when Curry is out of it. Houston on the other hand... just doesn't have another true play creator.

Hard to argue with that. If Harden stinks up the joint again tonight while Thompson and Curry light us up, then it's difficult to justify him winning the MVP.

Not Harden's fault he doesn't have great team mates nor a solid coach to put him in good spots when they zone in on him. We better have learned from the way they defended last time and we start to get on guys since the Warriors have good mid-range and outside shooters.

The first game we were injury ravaged.

The 2nd game people/writers were talking after the game saying the rockets may have lost, but Harden was clearly the best player on the floor.

    3rd game was crap.

    So I will disagree.

We actually play better when Harden has a stat line of 25 jordans, 7 barkleys, 8 magics (points, rebounds, and assists). We are unbeatable when the ball moves and harden is key to our ball movement.

Kevin Mchale got completely outcoached against Kerr. We looked bad. But that was mostly because we didn't make ANY adjustments at halftime. Mchale probably said "C'mon guys, ball movement! Play harder!!!" at halftime before we got our azzes handed to us.

In order for Harden to get going, Dwight can NOT start the game with 5 postups. Whoever thought that ish would work needs to be fired. If Harden's shot's not falling he needs to pass the ball and get guys involved.

Steve Kerr and his coaching staff are running circles around the Rockets, plus we aren't using Dmo in the post against Green. Posting up Dmo will take away his aggresiveness on the offensive end.

Don't dwell on it. Address any elephant in the room or share an opinion that poo poos on someone else's utopia and you get labeled a Mavs fan. Par for the course around here.

Please. Harden was 0-4 from 3 point line before Mchale shut him down - he was 6-8 the previous game against OKC.

It's not like that was because Killer Klay Klamped down on him - Westbrook and Waters played very tight D on him - it's just that some nights the shots fall and some nights they don't. Last thursday they did, and Saturday they didn't.

The same holds true for Curry who was only 2-8 vs. Houston, not becaues Beverley did anything super special.

Not exploiting that mismatch is ridiculous. It's obvious their gameplan with us is to neutralize Harden and let Dwight have what he wants. Which is good for Dwight's stats, but we aren't going to win games that way.

Harden is better than Curry. Simple as that. If you put Curry on the Rockets in place of Harden, we would have a worse record. They also have Thompson, Green, Iggy, and Barnes. Which is much better of a rotation than Ariza, Brewer, DMo, and JSmith.
