Yes I created a thread (obligatory hate ensues)

If Dragic signs somewhere else I'll be disappointed but I'd rather us not offer Lin anything more than the MLE (which means he stays in NY) I say that with the understanding that Lowry will eventually be traded.

In this scenario (Dragic leaving and Lowry traded) do you want to sign Lin for approx. $8M/year?

I'd rather pick up Lin because why not? It means Lowry is a goner and we need a starting 1, why not get an exciting player?

I'd rather play with 4 players with Lin as my point guard

jason terry took a 3 year 15 mill contract from boston. We should offer the same to both PG's cause terrys offense alone was enough to discourage rocket fans every game

If Dragic leaves. It means Daryl Moron goofed, and we lost a potential all-star PG in Lowry, because Moron counted his chickens before they hatched

Ugh, I'm not sure. I guess I'd take Lin, but I feel it's more than it's worth.

I'd rather just keep Lowry as my PG.

But if Dragic leaves and Lowry is traded, I'd rather they just find a cheap PG and play the season out than pay Lin $8 million a year. Not that I think Lin is a bad player... it's just that I would rather completely rebuild at that point.

None of that matters, though, because the Rockets aren't going to trade Lowry until they already have another starting PG on the roster.

since lowry wants out and dragic wants too much, we need at least 1 pg on the roster. the rockets can do a lot worse than a young promising pg in lin.

Lin shouldn't make a dime more than Kyle.

Unless we make a blockbuster with Kyle I see no reason to dump him. Trading for a draft pick or something and signing Lin to a 4yr 30mil contract is a mistake.

If Lin were 28 I would say definitely not. I agree it's a bit more than he's worth, but does anyone really think we're on the verge of contending for a championship anyway? Howard, Williams and Gordon are not coming. Lin is fun to watch and will help with revenue. This way, when we are closer to a championship squad, Alexander may be willing to pay luxury tax.

I would prefer Dragic but if he decides to play elsewhere then sure I would welcome Lin. I think Lowry is a lost cause now.

That undrafted guy from that small college we just signed. You know, what's his name? Actually he looks good and its worth a shot, especially if we end up going young.

we should have never cut him

Lin proved his worth to the Rockets in a loss.. yes a LOSS to the Spurs in the preseason

Morey instead valued Flynn expiring contract, and we lost a good player for nothing

no we might not have all 3.. go figure
