I agree with Vince, Cato is horrible. Also what do you expect the Rockets to say about Cato:
"He played so well last year that we just hope he can maintain that level of intensity, with his outstanding rebounding, unstoppable offensive output and great defense"
No, they have to say he is improving, because he couldn't get much worse.

Oh yeah fat Ostertag averaged more blocks per minute than the exceptional athlete that we have playing center.

I don't think that anyone is going to argue the fact that Ostertag is a good shotblocker.

But the fact that Cato was out of shape? Does that make a difference? If he's fitter he'll block more shots.

I wonder how many of you guys who say Cato is crap think that the rockets should've drafted DerMarr Johnson or Jerome Moiso or kept Pryzbilla.

Ostertag can only shot block.........you notice his FG% his PPG and so forth. He also is no where near the athlete Cato can be if he gets the right trainning. I'm not saying he's gunna be like Dream but I think if he does work hard he could be the athlete or maybe even better then Hakeem was! But that doesn't mean he's gunna have a cross-over, a variety of dream shakes etc etc. But when you see Cato as an athlete and the potential I see something very unique and very special!

Just wait and see and Cato will grow on all of us!

Vince, your argument makes no sense at all man.

Anyway... I think that Cato will have a very good season, and I am expecting a lot from him.

I think you guys, notably Vince and 4 chuckie, are being way too hard on the Rockets and Cato.

We can agree that at times he didn't show any interest in the game at hand, but Cato really didn't play all that bad for the minutes he got. There is really only one aspect of his game that must really improve...his rebounding. His defense could use a little work, in the sense that he needs to try and change some shots, but overall he played good D.

Now that he has one year with the team under his belt and understands that to stay with this team, he must improve. Bottom line, he deserves a chance and legitimate 6'10" guys with athleticism like Cato don't grow on trees.
