i think the stuffed animal i got for my dog might be possesed!

rather than buy expensive stuffed toys for dog at the pet store, i get them at thrift stores. she generally destroys them within a week or two so id rather not spend $10 for one toy when i can get 4 of them for the same price.

so anyway i restocked last weekend and one i got was this stuffed kangaroo. nothing unusual about it till a few days ago when i walked to the kitchen and on my way back saw that it was sitting upright and looking at me. i did not notice it like that on the way to the kitchen, but i thought maybe i just wasnt paying attention. however, it seems like something i would have noticed.

i even picked it up and dropped it from like a foot off the ground and maybe 1 out of 5 or 6 times it landed upright and did not fall over. it does not naturally sit upright. so even if my dog had been walking around with the toys head in her mouth and put it down it probably would have fallen over. but she usually carries them sideways so im still not sure how she would have set it down like that.

so yesterday i walked by the same spot and the kangaroo was again upright and looking at me. i was doing housecleaning and taking out the trash...i was definitely a little taken aback this time and i knocked it over on my way out. when i came back and tried to open the door it was locked. i absolutely did not lock the door. luckily, i stash a key in my backyard so i could let myself in. was the kangaroo getting back at me for knocking it over?

im kind of leery of this thing now. if this happens a 3rd time ill be legitimately freaked out.
