Yao had a 32 game layoff and T-Mac missed 11 games. Play them both, but not big time minutes.

My earlier point was this, Yao is getting better with every game because of his improving conditioning since playing. Why not continue the process?

The risk of injury is not worth playing in a meaningless game. This is a no brainer, but dumber things have been done before, like playing Yao in a meaningless game last season, the one in which he broke his foot.

Like I said we only have to play T-Mac and Yao Ming for the first half only. Give the bench a chance to feel the intensity.

that would be pretty funny if Vspan didn't even get to play in this game...I think he would walk off the court by halftime if he didn't see any action by the 2nd quarter....
JVG: PLEASE REST YOU PLAYERS...we can't afford an injury to TMAC or Yao...

Yea i agree with the previous poster on playing VSpan with Yao and Tmac. If he can play well, he can be our X-Factor in the playoffs.

T-mac and Yao will play the first quarter, but don't expect to see them the second half. JVG wants to keep them loose, and wants to be respectful to the Jazz - that's it.

You'll see VSPAN and Novick get some time probably as that's all they will get to see for this year. Expect Synder, JL3 to get heavy minutes.

I highly doubt it. Utah knows they are not highly favored so they will play hard just to send a message and i would not take chances with Yao n Tmac playing. Utah is a very physical team in NBA.

This is for same conference teams.
    http://www.******************/viewtopic.php?t=500506
"DETERMINING HOME COURT ADVANTAGE IN NBA FINALS IN THE EVENT OF A TIE

In the event that the two conference champions finished the regular season
with identical records the following will be utilized to determine home
    court in NBA Finals:

    a. Team having the higher winning percentage against the other team at the

close of the regular season shall have the home court advantage.

    b. Team with the higher winning percentage against teams in the opposite

    conference.

    c. Home court advantage shall be determined by a random drawing."

If tied, Houston, with a better record in the East than Detroit has in the West, has the tiebreaker.

The odds are not as bad as you think. Detroit has to be close to 50/50 to represent the East. Say we are like 1/15, there you go....

Well it seems to be decided Yao and Tmac will sit... Everyone else plays. I'd expect to see Head and either Deke or Big Jake to get the start. I'd like to see novak come off the inactive list and have him get some minutes here at the end.

I'd like to see V-span and Novak each get 30 minutes tonight.
