i think it depends on the players. If the starters come out and and play flat...they will get more minutes. If they come out strong, they wont play near as much.

If I was Jeff I would play Yao and T-Mac for first half and no matter the outcome is the bench will take over fot the second half. They will need a lot of practice for the post season.

Would a win tomorrow secure HCA in the Finals?!?

    Rockets: 53-29

and if the Pistons win out: 53-29

They split two games this season, what's the next tie breaker?

    Rox vs. West - 29.23 (.557)
    Det vs. West - 17-13 (.567)

    Rox vs. East - 24-6 (.800)
    Det vs. East - 36-16 (.692)

    Enquiring minds want to know!

    From the source:

We consider it an eight-game series," Rockets coach Yao Ming said. "It depends on how we're going to treat it. We can play hard for a confidence advantage or we can rest. It's up to coach. If he puts me out on the court, I'm just running like (I did against Phoenix)."

Yao is our coach, good news.

Just found out that if the Rockets and Pistons finish tied, the Pistons would get home court due to their better record within their respective conference (per e-mail with Mr. Jonathan Feigen).

What a jip! They get rewarded for playing in the Eastern Conference

That would be a mistake in my opinion. Why give the Jazz any chance at all to pick themselves back up off the floor. There's no question their pride is hurt and the Rockets wouldn't likely play as hard in this situation. Why let the Jazz have a chance to beat the real Rockets in a game that means nothing to the Rockets, but could sway (even if slightly) momentum the other way? It just doesn't make sense, and Van Gundy's a practical guy.

With Tmac's back and Yao's knees....and the game being meaningless.....just let them sit.

There is NO reason to take that chance.....they are both injury prone enough as it is.

What if Utah plays their scrubs and one of them injures our good players...

Phoenix was stupid last night.....we don't need to follow stupidity with more stupidity.

I would keep the "8 man rotation "players at home, and practice some P&R .

My memory is a little rusty here, but was CD GM during the Drexler trade? I thought he was still an assistant coach.

the thing that worries me about this game is if we do play tmac and yao for regular minutes and win, then that would just fire up utah to win game 1 of the playoffs. like they always say, "the hardest thing to do is win two playoff games in a row". this will essentially be a playoff game if the team has regular minutes. whoever wins this game will be at a disadvantage in the first game thats just my opinion.

I'd like Snyder to get 35 minutes so we can see if needed if we can get anything from him versus Utah.

I think the starters will play...30 minutes or less. There is no point in playing them the regular 38-40 minutes.

I like to see VSpan get 30 minutes playing with TMac and Yao.

What about how Yao is getting better every game? He really just got back and not really in mid season form yet. Do you think play Yao and sit TMAC?

Well, Tmac was an obvious trade which many suspected would happen, while Battier for Gay was not very well received by the fans.
