I beat an Olympic gold medalist and World Champion track star in a race.

I ran cross country in high school. Kerron Clement, a future national HS 300m champion at a neighboring school in the district, ran cross country in the track off-season for conditioning. I don't think he ran most of his CC team's races but he did run his school's (La Porte) home meet.

Clement jogged the race so I (as well as almost everyone else) beat him that day.

He'd later go on to win back-to-back NCAA championships in the 400m hurdles, win an Olympic Gold in the 4x400m in Beijing, and win the World Championships in 400m hurdles in '07 and '09.

So yea, I beat an Olympic gold medalist track star in a race.

Thus, by extension, making you gay.

(Not that there's anything wrong with that)

I played against Kendrick Perkins in an AAU game. One of my good friends was trapped underneath the rim with Perkins behind him. He looked around for someone to pass to, didn't see anybody, shrugged his shoulders and jumped away from the rim and threw it over his head...

Perkins swatted the **** out of it.

However, he blocked it so hard it came flying out to me on the 3-point line. I was shocked, as was the guy guarding me when he turned around, so I let it fly and nailed the three. My buddy ran down the court with his hands in the air, yelling "assist!!!"

    We lost by 20+.

We used to play flag football on Sundays at Anderson High here in Austin and for a couple of weeks we would scrimmage against a team that was led by Jeff Blake former QB of Bengals. It was amazing to see him launch the ball. He was fun and talked a lot of trash to us. He also would cheat and flag guard if you tried to pull his flag.

My favorite pro athlete encounter was at the piano bar where I work. One night a group of guys came in and one of them was Tony Romo. I played it cool and didn't call him out or anything but he was sitting right behind me by my piano. He started requesting songs and stood behind me singing along with all the songs. He was super cool and not the way I would expect an NFL QB to act. I'm not a Cowboys fan, but after that I was a fan of Tony Romo.

I thought I might have to explain who Thurman Thomas was to a lot of these youngsters. They'll never get the Billy Cannon reference.
