Only defensive. Even McHale said good words for DMo's defence against Jordan. But it's not the time to bark about DMo now. Good luck for the Rockets next game.

You do know Jordan doesn't have an offensive game correct??

Indeed, we shouldn't have lost this one, but oh well on to the next one.

LMFBO what game were you watching? Jordan had DMO intimidated last time I saw them play.

Jordan is not on the Clippers team for his offense LOL, DMO looked petrified playing against him last time I saw them play the Clippers.

You mean when the rockets beat them in LA without Howard?

Dwight played 40 minutes, Clippers' PF+C still got 27 combined rebounds. The problem isn't with DMo.

Them two almost always get that many rebounds.

They averaged 22.6 rpg in the regular season. So no, not always. Unless you count a 7 game sample against the Spurs where they averaged slightly less than 27.

And BG was on cruise control when it came to grabbing boards in the RS. He is a double double machine when he tries but he saved it for the playoffs imo. 27 rpg split between DJ and BG is pretty much the norm.

Against an unathletic 39-year-old and an overweight SF-PF tweener it might be the norm. But if Rockets want to win this is not acceptable.

Well there you have it then. You also know we are a pretty horrible rebounding team RT. If Dwight doesn't go mad crazy on the boards like he did in that Dallas series we are toasted in that dept..

Yes that was the game DMO the great was 3-15 FG and grabbed 6 boards in 43 minutes. Jones is the one that had a big game there. DMO would not have been the difference to win that game last night IMO, the team was flat from the long lay off and the psychology of an easy win with Paul not playing was the difference.

Dwight clearly needs and appreciates help from a PF on his team. At this point let Smith start and Jones come off the bench.... But clearly Dmo was a good team and body on body defender that altered shots and could occasionally get a couple blocks. Very under valued type of defense. Asik last was the same deal. Dmo also had a back to the basket post game that could easily open up the perimeter...

I do. Playoffs are a different beast.

Would it be nice to be healthy? Could we use Pat Bev vs. CP3? Sure.

Would the backup PF/C named Dmo have been a difference maker in last night's slaughter? Absolutely not.

Rockets were rusty and looked like they were in pre-season mode. Expect a different team for the rest of the series. Moving on...

DMo really would have helped last night, we got basically nothing from the PF spot and if we had DMo starting he could have made Griffin work on defense and provide us with a scoring punch that Smith and Jones simply couldn't last night. The added defense would also have been nice.

I said it when it became apparent that he needed surgery and would be gone for the season that there was a cap on the Rockets season now and it seems we might be at that cap now.

Dmo would be huge, you can actually go to him on the post.

Jones is just clogging up the lane at this point

DJ would be too busy dealing Dwight. Dmo would match up against Griffin (who has trouble with taller players).
