First we have to give Fertita a chance. Les is not better the Rockets just drafted Hakeem and he had a great career.

Les actually somehow gave the Rockets the negative look and was probably responsible for the hate the Rockets got from the media. Maybe by not paying Charles Barkley his money or because he was too cheap for the nba being that Houston is one of the largest cities in the United States. The NBA probably never leaked any of his internal issues so how do we really know who or how Les was? All I know is they hated us.

Also, remember that Les directly forced Morey to bring back Jeremy Lin after a couple months of Linsanity in NY leading to Lin's exorbitant toxic contract. The Lin contract precipitated a cascade of suboptimal moves to try to get rid of it, and I'd bet the team is still paying for it to this day in missed acquisition and trading opportunities. Remember that Lin and Harden arrived in the same year. I've got nothing against Lin himself, but imagine if the Rockets started the Harden era without Lin's albatross contract hanging around its neck. Seems to me Morey would have had a lot more flexibility and leverage to build a better team as opposed to what he's had to scrape together over the years.

    I miss this

    BUT
Tilman Fertita is the GOAT for publicly complaining commissioner stole the championship by means of bad officiating.

    He inherited those championship teams
Like when Luke Walton was winning coaching golden stage
Yao Ming got the Rockets the Chinese market
And Les took all the money

Les Alexander doesn’t care about the perception of the rockets to the media only to the Chinese

I don’t count fans who say they are rockets fans and ignore their history

It’s a sad state of affairs . When Lakers kids know who Kareem and Magic are, but Rockets fans can’t tell you who Ralph Sampson is

Les is a New Yorker who lives in Florida
Anyone who loves him this much should move to Florida and be the guy who polishes the championship trophies he took from the people of Houston

    In Les’ tenure we’ve had:

    1) Dream/Drexler/Barkley
    2) Franchise/Yao
    3) Yao/Mcgrady
    4) Misfit Toys (Hayes, Scola, Brooks)
    5) Harden/Dwight
    6) Harden/CP

He was a great owner that knew when to get involved. Tillman hasn’t shown that yet. He knows how to get people to pay for bad food but running a basketball team is another thing entirely. Hopefully he grows up. Seems petulant right now.

Crane should’ve bought the Rockets too lol.

If he loved the city of Houston so much and the fans why did he sell the team? Oh, he sold it because he was greedy and wanted the $2 billion profit.

More proof as to how Les will be missed seeing cheapskate, meddling Tilman

Les may have meddled but he knew where to draw a line. Man like Tilman forces Morey to acquire one of the most low efficient, high volume, no D chucker in NBA while kicking the cna on the one guy who took the Rockets closest to NBA finals over the past 20 years

@tinman @Rasheed what you Tilman only fans say?
