Cool story bro - was in the Grand Hyatt in San Francisco, getting breakfast in the lounge the day after the Rockets game. I see a guy at the buffet and think...that face looks familiar (after following the Rockets for 20 years now!). I just asked him "Are you Mr. Feigen from the Houston Chronicle", totally mispronouncing his last name. He said yes, shook my hand. Seemed like a nice guy. I said I recognized you because I am a big Rockets fan, even though I am from Germany. He just smiled. I didn't want to bother him anymore, but would have really liked to ask him whether he reads Clutchfans (I am sure he does) or, better, what his user name here is. But then I felt it would have been a little intrusive, so I just wished him a nice day. The end.
I pronounced it like you would in German..."Fi-gen" (like in fi-nal). He said, yes, "Fey-gen" (like in umm...Pey-ton Manning). (Feige = Fig in German)
Am I the only one who clicked the thread because I thought it said "Jonathan Frakes." I'm definitely disappointed.
