Since he said it in the Reddit Q&A. So I'm going to quote and post this brilliant comment from Realgm.
Terrence Jones has looked pretty good so far. Occasional 3-point shot, decent defense and rebounding, doesn't crowd the paint too much. He hasn't been anything huge, but with our lineup he has been all we have really needed. Would Amir Johnson really be that much of an upgrade? Enough of an upgrade to cost us Asik?
Amir Johnson is pretty decent. 26 years old so he may have a bit of upside. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/johnsam01.html 11 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 54 FG%, 33.3% from 3pt range. More importantly he only makes $6.5m this year, with a $7.0m team option for next year. IE, he doesn't tie our hands if a better PF comes available and is usable as a trade piece.
So since he reads this forum he will make bad trades cause someone on CF suggests it??? I think Morey will be engaged with half the GM's in the league in the coming weeks (if he hasn't been already) with multiple trade scenarios. He's getting throw scenario's from probably 50 different people around the league including agents, GM's assistant GM's etc. right now not even including his own staff that work on potential trades. I dont think a Clutchfans random trade from the realgm trade is going to tell Morey anything he hasn't already heard or cant find out himself.
Probably not. But I'm pretty sure he has his team post here. Dare say anything bad about Daryl Morey on this forum and the attack dogs come rushing
I actually really like Amir Johnson. That said, Houston being the one to throw in extra assets in that trade is hilarious. Perhaps something more along the lines of Asik to Sac, Johnson to Hou, Fredette & Thompson to Tor. Rudy Gay should not be entering into these discussions, he's Toronto's pill to swallow until they pay someone off to take him.
