When you post literally 100 thousand times, your bound to be wrong many, many more times then the average poster who has like 5k post, it's just the law of numbers.
Can you blame him? One of the only players that hustles and plays team first basketball. Can you imagine playing 40+ minutes a night with these bums and continually putting out effort knowing your teammates will let you down.
People need to stop with this ridiculous love affair with Ariza. The guy ain't an elite defender, not even close. He can seem above average time to time, but mostly he has been extremely mediocre this season, and is one of the big reasons why we suffered a huge drop off in our team defense. Offensively, he misses so many wide open 3s that it makes my head hurt.
Ariza has quit defensively as well. He is playing harder looking for his offense than focusing on his defense.
I cringe whenever Ariza dribbles and drives to the basket. This guy has no offensive game other than taking a spot up 3.
Don't think Ariza has been much of a problem this year outside of his slipping defensively. Given the inevitable rebuild, I'd try to move him this offseason while he still has some value.
Against GSW : 6.6 PPG / 25.5 FG% / 14.3 3PT% couldn't even guard Klay for a second and got his ass kicked Offensively trash and defensively overrated.
Ariza might have regressed, but still did a good job on Klay at times and still works hard most nights. Every player has at some point stunk up the place and Ariza has always been streaky + he's asked to create which is not in his skill set. In a proper system he will be better. I'd like to keep him around, but wouldn't mind an upgrade of course.
Ariza's final stat in this series : 6.6 PPG / 25.5 FG% / 14.3 3PT% 31.3 TS% 63 ORtg 110 Drtg -5.5 BPM these are historically bad numbers... the sad thing is Beverly was not much better, smh
