What's the line from Fight Club from Tyler about how you can and scream the whole way through and then thank me later? I keep thinking of us the fans as Edward Nortons character getting our asses kicked and confused and then Tyler Durden reveals his master plan. Harden is a polarizing star no doubt, but man is he special when he's on and especially when he's playing D. You might not love him. You probably hate him, but he's your best shot at getting Houston back to the promised land. Another line from my fav movie - You gotta break a few eggs to make an omelette.
Harden drives me nuts but when he is engaged he's as good as any player in the league. He was playing his game in OT and it was refreshing to see. If he can play defense like tonight move the ball and run off the occasional screen like tonight the rockets will be fine and we will win slog of games. We're only 2.5 games back from 3rd place in the west. Hardens shot will come last year this time he was shooting the same percentage as now only difference is he played the way he played tonight on both sides every game. He's so young still it would be foolish to turn on him now he's not 32 like melo. Hes our only hope for a championship time to prove all the idiots wrong. They love you one day( last year) and hate you the next (first 11 games into a new season)
Ban this guy, please do it. He adds absolutely nothing to the board and writes this bull**** on every thread, no matter what topic.
Harden is so unbelievably arrogant and so obviously doesn't give a F, I really hope we'll trade him somewhere down the road. You can't win a championship with this terrible excuse of a franchise player, his behaviour is a joke.
There is a huge difference than rooting for a team in a sport than rooting for a guy on a craps table for a hot hand. If that off balance one foot lucky shot will not go in last night by Brewer, the comments here will be so much different? People will always just focus on result, but efforts and spirit are what sports really meant to be.
The Rockets are blessed or cursed They got several franchise players but 90% of those are either flawed, does not care about Defense or Offense or just plain injured.
Initial thought is to blame Jones, since he lost his man. But after multiple reviews: 1. Harden's effort to block inbounds pass are hilarious (he waves one hand unwillingly) 2. Terry either had to switch with Jones or make more separation between his man, since he didn't - Jones bumped into him and lost his man. I don't know what is awkward about this clip?
Listen to the commentary and look at the action unfolding. Bill and Co. talking about how they need to focus on defense now, create a stop, no easy baskets, etc. And then you see this pathetic display of effort and defense on the inbound.
What Do YOU expect, especially when you're Superstar performs so horrendously in a do or die game. And then starts the season off shooting bricks all the while not playing defense. Yes he's going to have his big games and win us some games, he's a special player. But these horrible games of his has to stop and his defensive efforts needs to improve period. Teams are pick on him and it's embarrassing.
I've watched him for years, offended I and the majority of this board point out Harden's bad attitude and terrible defensive lapses?

That is the sad truth! Harden lives by arm flailing fouls and free throws, and when the calls don't come we lose.
Salty LOFs aren't going to stop haunting the GARM until every person who they feel have wronged Lin is traded, fired, or leaves. McHale was one down, now it's two (Harden & Morey) to go for them.
