For whatever reason JJ Redick always frustrates Harden. I don't know what it is. That's James Harden for you. He just has bad match ups and can't mentally find a way to shake the mojo off. That's what separates him from the great aggressive scorers. He's more like Lebron in that sense but not nearly as good on D and without the size. He's a matchup superstar. Still he's the Rockets best hope at a title. They just need to break the right match ups in the playoffs. That's our reality folks.
It just sucks man. I watched the first quarter and it seemed like the team was playing with that glue. Harden was finding open shooters and they were hitting. Howard looked unstoppable underneath. I thought for sure that once the Clippers stopped matching us point for point we would start having Harden take over the scoring and get us to the W. Then...well..Austin Rivers, no switching, noone there to meet any of their players at the rim. Capela should have been in sooner. Jones looks timid and might be the biggest factor in our loss tonight. Smith was rushing shots or trying to tip in the shot instead of just pulling down the board and reseting. What the hell happened to the team system? It sucks man
Harden has made me sick this series. Where's the fire? Whoever is pointing out his stats tonight didnt watch the game. No effort, he's so disinterested. I'll say it, Tmac was better in the playoffs than harden.
repped. anyone that watched the game tonight will see the disinterest in harden. anyone that didn't watch the game will just be a box score geek and think harden played a great game.
The Rockets had 76 points at the end of 3. Harden scored 16 of those and assisted on 24 of them. That means he was responsible for 52% of the points scored. But of course people want to act like he was doing nothing. He can't just attack the rim non stop with Deandre staying in the lane. And we all know the Rockets don't encourage mid range jumpers. The defense, poor FT shooting, and lack of adjustments is what lost this game. The way this team game plans has got to change.
All this 1 game after he carried his team to victory w 15+ in 4th This is not a "superstar is choking" issue It's a "coach cannot motivate" issue, which is why the WHOLE TEAM played like crap Giving up 125+ is all about team effort on D, not IND effort on OFF Same thing GM3 vs DAL Same thing GM1 at home w a week to game plan and no Chris Paul to worry about If those issues are not on the coaches, I'm not really sure what purpose they serve at all
Fixed. Pathetic thread. Blaming harden for having a crap head coach, no point guard, no back up center, no power forward, no team defense. Gtfo
A little fire, a little effort is all I ask for. You cant let Austin Rivers disrespect you like that, you just cant...
I did too, was pretty optimistic at half time considering we were facing the best starting 5 in the NBA at home Give props to Austin Rivers, he put the basketball in the hoop. Obviously, the Roxs schemed so Rivers would have to make his shots; yes, there were sloppy/late rotations but that doesn't tell the whole picture. J I was hoping he would step up in the playoffs but he is too weak (literally) and inexperienced to play extended minutes. I didn't think so in the first half, he's just outmatched and has had the misfortune to have to guard and score on the most talented PF of the post season in two consecutive seasons. They just collapsed mentally and tried to do much as individuals instead of a team.
